Depending on the varieties of products offered by the business, entrepreneurs follow different policies in arriving at a brand name. The names chosen should be able to grab attention from the public. For this reason the entrepreneur should be chose their brand strategy very carefully as this summarizes the purpose and goal of the organization. Usually from the perspective of entrepreneurs the brand names can be considered in the following ways. - Individual brand name: Each product in the portfolio is given a different brand name. - Family brand name: A range of products in the portfolio are offered with the same name. The name used can be either the entrepreneur’s name or the business name. This type of branding is also referred to as umbrella branding. Ponds offering its various products under one umbrella name refers to this type of strategy. - Corporate names: In this type of branding the company’s name or logo along with some brand names of individual products. For instance Philips company offers its one of shavers are Philips aquatouch, and Samsung offering its phones as Samsung Galaxy - Alpha-numeric names: The alpha-numeric names are used to highlight the physical characteristics of a product. This strategy ensures that each product will have its own unique identity. For instance Philips aquatouch AT620/14 and Philips Aquatouch AT890/16 are distinguished by the alphanumerics AT620/14 and AT890/16. This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. Marketing Video Types - Rainmaker Online Video Marketing and Corporate Videos - http://www.rainmaker.video Our variety of marketing video services are sure to meet your needs. Compare the different types of videos and their strengths. [ Corporate Image Video ] - When people think about great companies, they recollect all of their experiences and feelings associated with the brand. Though influence on a company’s image is not limited to the product itself, loyal customers will buy bad products because they bear the right name. It takes careful branding design and consultation to shape a good company image. Every detail is significant, from logo to product packaging. [ Product Videos ] - When consumers see your products on your website or online retailers, they’ll likely search to find more information and reviews about it. If, instead, a well-produced video is immediately available, they’re more likely to click on that without leaving the site where they discover it. [ How-to Video ] - A good instructional video can be just as helpful as hands-on experience. Who hasn’t turned to a “how-to” video on YouTube when reading instructions just doesn’t cut it? Instructional and educational videos of course predate the internet, but the explosion of online video platforms created a mature environment of people sharing their experiences and skills in amateur how-to videos. [ Event Video ] - When the success of your publication, press conference, seminar, or other event is hinged on its good publicity, having a well-made event video is a powerful tool. We’ll document your event’s best moments and package them in something you’ll be proud of. Click for more commercial video production processes and information: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXbfFx1jASL-O3VHjda_whCPDJ7_5rc7j [ Interview ] - Good interviews provide intimate, direct communication to boost confidence in audiences, whether from a spokesperson for your company, an expert in a news report, or a doctor in a pharmaceutical advertisement. For customers, positive product testimonials often influence purchase decisions. [ Microfilm ] - Translate your brand into a short narrative film with an emotional message. Conveying your company in a micro film is an effective way to quickly share your company’s image with the world. The best commercials don’t require purchased time slots or column inches: they spread by word of mouth over the internet and social media. [ Whiteboard Animation Video ] - A new, popular medium for businesses to present products and services in a clear, succinct way: Whiteboard Animation videos are hand-drawn, low-budget animated videos. The form is simple yet elegant — the audience is presented with real-time whiteboard-like sketches together with narration to articulate a concept, as if given a presentation from a star lecturer. We’ll use a variety of specialized software to help organize and deliver your message. Head over to my blog to learn more and download my free naming worksheet (pdf) - the process I use to brainstorm names for my clients: https://ebaqdesign.com/blog/brand-name/ Are you tired of searching for the right name? It’s hard to find a good brand name. One thing that will give you a head start on the naming endeavor is an understanding of the types of names that are out there. Hello everyone this is Arek Dvornechuck from Ebaqdesign and today Im going to share with you the different types of names and how to chose one for your brand. Let’s look at some of the famous brands and learn from them. The first type of brand name is name after Founder. 1. Names after Founders Many companies are named after founders. It might be easier to protect that type of name and It satisfies an ego. Naming after founder works extremely well in fashion. A great example is Gucci named after founder Guccio Gucci. Another great example is Tiffany, named after Charles Lewis Tiffany. Founder names are best for luxury & high-end brands. 2. Descriptive names Descriptives names work by telling you exactly what the company does. These names convey the nature of the business. A great example is Facebook. A book of faces. Descriptive names clearly communicate the brand story. Another good example is Groupon. A group of Coupons. They are usually hard to trademark, so you may want to slightly tweak the words. It also makes the Groupon name fall into the next category of the Farbicated names. 3. Fabricated names Because it’s so hard to find new names, companies invent names by changing, adding or removing letters. A great example is Kodak, which is just a made-up name, invebted by the founder who liked the “K” letter. Another good example is Verizon, which was created from he word “horizon” with a small tweak to it. These types of names offer the most creative altitude for a brand. 4. Metaphor names These types of names work by reflecting imagery and meaning back to the brand. A perfect example is Nike, which is a Greek goddess of victory. Metaphor names bring to mind the experience or positioning of a brand. Another good example is Amazon, which is the biggest river in the World. These names are interesting to visualize and make for powerful differentiators. 5. Acronym names Acronyms have been used for brand names since branding beginnings and they are nothing more than a series of unrelated uppercase letters. The most known example is probably IBM, that stands for International Business Machines. Acronyms are just short-hand version of descriptive name. Another good example Is CVS, that stands for Convenience, Value and Service, but who really care about that? It’s just CVS. They’re usually chosen to solve the problem of multi-word long names, however they’re extremely hard to protect. And the last name category on my list is Real Words. 6.Real Words. Real word names are just words taken out of a dictionary that suggest attributes or benefits. A great example is Uber, that means super, excellent, more than just a taxi. Another good example is Sharp, that stands for the company’s first product - an ever sharp mechanical pencil. This type of name works well for a company with big, bold and broad ambitions. As you already know, you can name your brand in a variety of ways. Do you have a preference for a particular type of name? Leave a comment below and hit that like button. Most users think of social media as a tool to promote themselves; in this video Brand Strategist Phil Pallen provides four types of tweets that you should be posting to Twitter — with only one, ‘Website Link,’ being used as a tool to communicate your own brand. As he explains, social media is not a tool for broadcast, it should instead be used as a means for conversation. By using a ‘Website Link,’ it draws the audience in longer than self-promotion would. Using the ‘Quick Question’ framework as a sole way to engage allows the content creator the ability to be on or off-brand, while ‘Industry Buzz’ is an opportunity for you to reinforce the fact that you are an expert in the field you are promoting yourself in it also provides users tips and can subsequently grow your audience through retweets. Finally, Phil talks about how ‘Networking Effort’ should be the reason you are on Twitter — to meet new people and create brand awareness. marketing strategies 101, online marketing strategy basics, and best practices. it may seem obvious but knowing exactly what you want from your digital marketing efforts is key to achieving success. it is too often that we are given the brief of simply making improvements to the web to “get more visitors”. an online marketing strategy needs to be durable. the digital ecosystem is characterized by rapid change. the process of arriving at the strategy and the goals must, however, remain constant. it is possible to adapt within the strategy changing the tactics or the channel percentage but the underlying strategy remains until the is a significant paradigm shift. in this course, you will learn about online marketing strategy, content marketing strategy, social media marketing strategy, and email marketing strategy. define the audience: by understanding your audience you will be in a better position to give them what they are looking for. clearly, their needs have to coincide with your product or service’s benefits to be able to have a mutually valuable relationship. it is quite likely that you will have different types of people looking at your site and for each of them, you need to have the correct information available to be able to influence them to make the call to action – whatever that might be. content marketing takes a variety of forms and depending on how you form your strategy, could accomplish a number of different goals. for example, you could use white papers, ebooks and other long-form content to attract downloads, signups, and conversions, or you could use an on-site blog to attract more inbound traffic to your site. social media marketing isn’t the get-rich-quick scheme you may have been promised, but there is significant potential in building and nurturing a social media audience. again, content will come into play heavily here, as it will likely be the factor that attracts your audience, to begin with. here, you stand to gain greater brand visibility, a greater reputation and far more inbound traffic with your syndicated links. email marketing has the astounding potential for ROI because it costs almost nothing to execute. start collecting subscribers from your existing customer base, your social media followers and other new opportunities; from there, even a simple content newsletter can help you encourage repeat traffic to your site, facilitate more engagement with your brand and keep your brand top-of-mind with your audience.

SWOT analysis in practice - Starbucks -------------------------------- Strategy analysis has two main branches – analysis of a firm’s external environment and analysis of a firm’s internal environment. SWOT is a famous framework that allows us to combine the two types of analysis. SWOT is sometimes referred to as internal-external analysis. The acronym SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. The first two, Strengths and Weaknesses, are related to a firm’s internal environment, while the last two, Opportunities and Threats, consider its external environment. Internal strengths and external opportunities are vertically paired as helpful elements, while internal weaknesses and external threats are paired as harmful elements. if we perform a company analysis, under strengths, we would expect to see its core competences, the areas where the business excels and has a competitive advantage over competitors. Weaknesses are areas that need improvement. Such vulnerabilities place a company at a disadvantage when competing against other firms. Opportunities can be seen as favorable factors existing in a company’s external environment, in the industry where it operates, and have the potential to improve its current results and competitive positioning. Threats arise in a company’s external environment and might harm its current business.

Social serves as both an unparalleled way to get to know your customers and a great content distribution channel. According to the Content Marketing Institute and Marketing Profs research for 2017, 89% of B2B content marketers in North America use LinkedIn, 77% use Twitter, and 76% use Facebook to distribute content. It’s safe to say that social media is no longer a fad or a “nice to have.” You’re not doing yourself any favors if you silo your content strategies. Even if you have different individuals in charge of the content and social functions—or even different reporting structures—you need social media and content addressed in a single content strategy to present a unified brand experience to consumers. This integration starts at the beginning by including your social content strategy within your overall content strategy. By including social as a component of your content strategy, you provide the groundwork that ensures the consumers of your content will easily recognize your brand at a glance—from a Facebook post to your website. Anything less than a seamless experience can send a consumer packing. Social Media Examiner research has found a strong link between social media performance and content strategy. In the report from 2017 they found 78% of marketers counted increased website traffic as a top performance result from their social media activities. In today’s omnichannel marketing world, everything is connected. Your content matters at every step of the buyer’s journey. A LinkedIn or Facebook post is an opportunity to enhance your brand image and build your community’s brand affinity.

#greatbrands #brandstrategy Welcome to Episode #56 of One Minute Wednesday! One Minute Wednesdays is the weekly video series that covers branding, rebranding, marketing, leadership and brand strategies for entrepreneurs around the world. SPECIAL THANKS TO TINY DINER of MPLS, MN FOR THE USE OF THEIR LOCATION FOR THIS VIDEO. This Episode 56 of One Minute Wednesday covers this: Nobody is entitled to anything. Seriously. I know from personal experience. Growing up, I was very talented. I could draw. Paint. Sculpt. I won some early local art competitions. I was appreciated by art teachers. But when I came in as a finalist to win a scholarship at School of Visual Arts in NYC and didn’t, I was crushed. I had a chip on my shoulder for a while. I'd figured, "My talent entitled me to win that scholarship." Soon after, I decided to freelance and become an entrepreneur as a designer. And learn the craft of hustling, of selling, of conveying an idea. And the power of words. And color. And differentiation. And what it means to NOT rely on “my talent” or “my charisma.” In short, I learned how to NOT go on "autopilot." And it’s what I teach every client right out of the gate. Because until they learn that, they’ll go on hoping which weakens them at every turn. They don't "deserve" anything. Unfortunately. It's a lesson I had to learn and what every great entrepreneur and any great brand learns. That is what today’s One Minute Wednesday is all about. As an award-winning veteran (recipient of over 330 international industry recognitions) in branding, rebrands, design and brand strategy, I have designed and transformed global brands, regional and local brands, and brands for startups and even cities. 📙 Brand Intervention Book (please review) http://a.co/d/dr1RLvS 📌Rising Above The Noise https://www.RisingAboveTheNoise.com 📌The #1 article on Google for How to Rebrand: https://www.risingabovethenoise.com/how-to-rebrand-19-questions-ask-before-you-start/ @DavidBrier (Twitter/IG) Subscribe to our YouTube channel (turn on notifications): https://www.youtube.com/user/headmusik Want the best book written on branding and rebranding covering Strategy, Sales & Marketing, Social Media and The Business of Branding with a Foreword by Shark Tank's Daymond John: https://www.brandinterventionbook.com/buy-brand-intervention — Visit our website: https://www.RisingAboveTheNoise.com FREE eBook on Branding: https://www.risingabovethenoise.com/download/the-lucky-brand-ebook-from-david-brier/ — Alexa Skill #1 for Branding and Rebranding: 🎙 https://amzn.to/2ydjuM0

Brought to you by www.teknadigital.com.au There are three major types of marketing strategies. The first is known as mass marketing or “branding”. This type of marketing is used by the big names who are constantly advertising again and again to keep their brand out there. Its all about reminding customers and new customers about your brand and what your product or service is about. You know who I am talking about. Their marketing executives put a lot of time, money and energy into making sure their brand is always out there. The idea behind that is the more the more rule. The more times you run ads from your brand, the more likely people are to have this brand at the top of their consciousness when they go to make a purchasing decision. Simple very effectively and for those with big budget is works. They key is saturation. To accomplish mass marketing a lot of time, energy and money is invested in various advertising media. e.g. TV, print, radio, Internet etc. on a very regular basis and over an extended period of time. The second major type of marketing strategies is educational direct response marketing. The whole concept behind direct response marketing is to get an immediate response and a compelling desire for prospects to take some specific action now! Such as opting in to your email list, making a phone call, sending an SMS message, placing an order or been directed to a website. The third major marketing strategy is Educational Direct Response Marketing. TeknaDigital has upgraded the Direct Response Marketing strategy by educating prospective clients by doing something our competitors are not doing. It's different, seemingly counter intuitive and yet we know it is effective and powerful. Because it works! To be honest most of our clients usually start off ... not knowing us apprehensive whether they can trust us or not and the thought we existed or not just never entered their minds. We like it like that because ... that is the same way all of our clients used to be about Hosted Virtual Desktops and our Digital Marketing Services. that's why we upgraded the Educational Direct Responsive Marketing business model. We want to educate our clients how to be direct, responsive and be great at marketing too. We are finding that knowledge is applied power and our clients love the step by step, user friendly, easy to understand style of learning. We teach them - how the cloud works and how simple our digital marketing services are to implement. The people who know what we are good at and what we do works for them are or clients.
