New revelations about no deal Brexit ferry firm

11:28
The Transport Secretary Chris Grayling yesterday assured this programme that his department had done "detailed work" on the financial and operational plans of the British company Seabourne Freight, which has been contracted to supply ferries between Ramsgate and Ostend in the event of a no-deal Brexit. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe) But we have been told that Chief Executive Ben Sharp once ran a shipping company that ceased trading - owing more than a million pounds to multiple shipping companies. Mr Sharp has denied the allegations. Our Business Editor Siobhan Kennedy has this exclusive report. ------- Watch more of our explainer series here - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list... What is FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE? What does FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE mean? FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE meaning

What is FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE? What does FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE mean? FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE meaning - FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE definition - FRAUDULENT CONVEYANCE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A fraudulent conveyance, or fraudulent transfer, is an attempt to avoid debt by transferring money to another person or company. It is a civil cause of action. It arises in debtor/creditor relations, particularly with reference to insolvent debtors. The cause of action is typically brought by creditors or by bankruptcy trustees. A transfer will be fraudulent if made with actual intent to hinder, delay or defraud any creditor. Thus, if a transfer is made with the specific intent to avoid satisfying a specific liability, then actual intent is present. However, when a debtor prefers to pay one creditor instead of another that is not a fraudulent transfer. There are two types of fraudulent transfer—actual fraud and constructive fraud. Actual fraud typically involves a debtor who as part of an asset protection scheme donates his assets, usually to an "insider", and leaves himself nothing to pay his creditors. Constructive fraud does not relate to fraudulent intent, but rather to the underlying economics of the transaction, if it took place for less than reasonably equivalent value at a time when the debtor was in a distressed financial condition. It is important to notice that the actual distinction between the two different types of fraud is what the intentions of the debtor were. For example, where the debtor has simply been more generous than they should have or, in business transactions, the business should have ceased trading earlier to preserve capital (see generally, wrongful trading). In a successful suit, the plaintiff is entitled to recover the property transferred or its value from the transferee who has received a gift of the debtor's assets. Subsequent transferees may also be targeted, although they generally have stronger defenses than immediate transferees. Although fraudulent transfer law originally evolved in the context of a relatively simple agrarian economy, it is now widely used to challenge complex modern financial transactions such as leveraged buyouts. Fraudulent transfer liability will often turn on the financial condition of the debtor at a particular point in the past. This analysis has historically required "dueling" expert testimony from both plaintiffs and defendants, which often led to an expensive process and inconsistent and unpredictable results. Courts and scholars have recently developed market-based approaches to try to make this analysis simpler, more consistent across cases, and more predictable.

DUE - Hudson Motor Company Urban Exploration

03:20
An expanding Hudson Motor Company had Albert Khan build this structure around 1920 to supply the body line, shipped via Rail Car to the Jefferson Ave. Plant. This structure is nearly 1,000,000 sq. ft. in total. Hudson was the 4th largest automaker in Detroit, and produced it's last vehicle in 1955. Three years later, General Motors bought it, and it ran as a stamping plant for body's until 1984. It remained closed until Ivan Doverspike purchased the structure in their expansion in 1993. There, it focused on a variety of operations ranging from CNC milling, machine work, and industrial screw machining, and servicing the equipment. The facility when first created included employee housing on-site; abandoned some time later. There is only one home left, it too is abandoned in the ruins and bramble of the old housing. When we visited in 2013, the scrappers have only just begun to destroy some of what is on the property. It is currently listed for sale with a price tag of $4.7 million. The property still has power, and active ownership; although operations have ceased somewhat recently. We hope somebody is able to revive it to it's former glory. The plant is situated on the corner of Connor Ave. and Gratiot Ave. in Detroit across from the City Airport.

"Kindness into Cash" - exposé of used clothes company Planet Aid - pt. 2

But this now defunct nonprofit foundation in The Netherlands had no ties with Tvind. The reporter likely meant the similarly named “Institute for International Cooperation and Development” (also “IICD”), located in the USA and widely reported to be run by Tvind. In mid-2013, the U.S.-based IICD changed its name to “One World Center.” The Dutch IICD ceased operations in The Hague on December 31, 2015. Tulip Mania I: When a single tulip was worth more than a house

06:50
Today, you can buy several tulips for a couple of dollars. In 1637, you could buy every house on your street, for a couple of tulips. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Like & Share! Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/averythingchannel/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/AveryThing ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The year is 1637, right in the middle of the Dutch Golden Age. This is the era of names such as Rembrandt, Christiaan Huygens, and Johannes Vermeer. And even though it was in a golden age, The Dutch Republic was a new country founded only half a century ago, when it revolted against the Spanish Empire and started the 80 years’ war. This golden age was spurred in large part due to The Dutch Republic's invention of early capitalism. And it is here, in Amsterdam, that the first company is founded, the first stock exchange created, and as we will see over the course of this series... it's the place where the first financial bubble burst. This, is the story of Tulip Mania! But what even is a financial bubble? For us economics nerds this is easy to understand. For the rest of us, here is a short example: Let's say you have a bitcoin. And that bitcoin costed 100 dollars and you sell it for 150 dollars, earning you a profit of 50 dollars. That evening you tell your friends you just made 50 dollars with bitcoin. Your friends want the same profit so they buy a bunch of bitcoins hoping to sell it later at a higher price. A week later they sell each bitcoin for 200 dollars. And then new people come to buy bitcoin, hearing of all this profit being made. Over time, more and more people come in. Each person is betting they will be able to sell at a higher price to the next person. But eventually you run out of buyers and the price goes down. It crashes. This is an economic bubble. And like all bubbles: eventually they must burst. Tulips originally came from Persia and traveled via the Ottoman trade to western Europe in the 16th century. Tulips come in a variety of colour and they rapidly became prized above all other flowers. The Dutch Republic saw the rise of a new middle class and these merchant and traders were willing to pay large sums of money for the newest, the latest, the most spectacularly-coloured tulips. Each year new varieties were cultivated. In particular there was one type of tulip that was prized above all other tulips. This tulip had darker coloured stripes and 'flames' on a lighter background. They did not get this colour due to the flower’s genetics, but because of a virus. But this was the early 17th century and the field of genetics wouldn’t exist for another 200 years. This meant that as a tulip grower, you could never be sure whether you had an ordinary tulip or an extremely valuable “flaming” tulip. This made tulips a risky investments. But just because tulips were a hobby, didn't mean they were amateurs. In fact, these men knew a lot about this plant and growing the best one was a serious hobby, not just a casual one. And by the 1620s a beautiful new flower had emerged: the Semper Augustus. The Semper Augustus... god don't you just love that name... Anyway, the Semper Augustus was owned by one man. And he was crafty. He knew that if he sold the offspring of this tulip then it was only a matter of time before his customers would grow more of them and then he would have competitors. So he did what most companies would do in his situation: create a monopoly, meaning he was the only one who was able to sell the Semper Augustus. How did he do it? Well, he created a contract with very specific terms. first, you weren't allowed to sell your tulip bulb again without the express permission of the owner and secondly, you weren't allowed to sell any of the offspring from the tulip bulb either. As you might imagine, many traders did not always honour this contract. And many an angry merchant went to the Dutch notary office to file an official complaint. Records of these complaints can still be found in the archives of many Dutch cities to this day. And it is through these records that we know how much tulips were worth during that time. Even Though not all merchants honoured the deal, most of them did. This way, he was assured that he could control how many of his Semper Augustus were being sold and as a result, the price went up. By 1623 the price for a single Semper Augustus tulip bulb was worth 1000 Guilders. By the end of 1625, that price has risen to 3000 Guilders. To put this into perspective, a skilled artisan such as a carpenter would earn about 300 Guilders per YEAR . So that meant that by 1625, a carpenter would have to work 10 whole years, not spend any of that money on food or a house or anything else. and then, after 10 years, he would finally be able to take all his money to a tulip trader and buy... a single bulb. And that's without the price going up any further than it already did.

Why are universities in America so expensive? This issue has become a hot topic over the past few years as student debt has skyrocketed. While graduation rates have never been higher, youth underemployment has never been this bad. In the past, universities were reserved for the select few who could afford their expensive and selective programs, but getting a degree also meant being essentially set for life. Today, people with a degree aren't guaranteed a job fitting their specialization, or in fact any job at all. With such uncertainty, many students wonder whether graduation is even worth it, as most are saddled with nearly unbearable student debt which they will be repaying for a long time. In this video, we will explore the origin of universities as a business in America, and how their popularization has created a lot of problems for contemporary American graduates. Under the kind patronage of Samuel Patterson.

What If You Couldn't Buy Things From Other Countries?

05:13
What if the world stopped trading? What if the US decided to stop trading with the world? What would happen? Unless you live in North Korea you’re probably reliant on international trade in one way or another (NAFTA, ETC). Possibly the food you ate today is farmed or grown overseas. The pen you used to write the shopping list to buy the food you ate was probably manufactured overseas. Your mobile phone or laptop was almost certainly made overseas. The specific parts to that laptop were probably made in different countries. Your car will have had its parts made all over the world before being assembled. We live in a world reliant on overseas trade. But what would happen if countries decided to stop trading with one another? Would society grind to a halt? Would we all become self-sufficient within our own nations? That’s what we’ll find out today on the Infographics Show as we ask – What if World Trade Stops? What Will Happen? LONDON STREET FOOD, BURGER, DOUGNUTS, BACON, SAUSAGES, PASTA

54:07
LONDON STREET FOOD, BURGER, DOUGNUTS, BACON, SAUSAGES, PASTA, CAMDEN MARKET, The Camden markets are a number of adjoining large retail markets in Camden Town near the Hampstead Road Lock of the Regent's Canal (popularly referred to as Camden Lock), often collectively named "Camden Market" or "Camden Lock". Among products sold on the stalls are crafts, clothing, bric-a-brac, and fast food. It is the fourth-most popular visitor attraction in London, attracting approximately 250,000 people each week.[1] A small local foodstuffs market has operated in Inverness Street in Camden Town since the beginning of the 20th century. From 1974 a small weekly crafts market that operated every Sunday near Camden Lock developed into a large complex of markets.[2] The markets, originally temporary stalls only, extended to a mixture of stalls and fixed premises. The traditional Inverness Street market started losing stalls once local supermarkets opened; by mid-2013 all the original stalls had gone, being replaced by stalls similar to those of the other markets, including fast food but not produce. The markets originally operated on Sundays only, which continues to be the main trading day. Opening later extended to Saturdays for most of the market. A number of traders, mainly those in fixed premises, operate throughout the week, although the weekend remains the peak period. In 2014, Israeli billionaire Teddy Sagi started buying property in the Camden Market area.[3] By March 2015, having purchased the four most important of the six sections of the market, he announced plans to invest £300 million in developing the market area by 2018. Camden Lock Market is situated by the Regent's Canal on a site formerly occupied by warehouses and other premises associated with the canal. By the early 1970s the canal trade had ceased and a northern urban motorway was planned that would cut through the site, making any major permanent redevelopment impossible, and in 1974 a temporary market was established. By 1976, when plans for the motorway were abandoned, the market had become a well known feature of Camden Town. Originally, the Lock was a market for crafts, occupying some outdoor areas by the canal and various existing buildings. While the range of goods has since widened, with stalls selling books, new and second-hand clothing, and jewellery, the Lock retains its focus as the principal Camden market for crafts. There is a large selection of fast food stalls. In 1991 a three-storey indoor market hall designed by architect John Dickinson was opened on the site of the first outdoor market. In the style of the traditional 19th century industrial architecture and housing in the area, it is built of brick and cast iron. It attracted large numbers of visitors partly due to stalls being open on Sundays, when previous to the Sunday Trading Act 1994, shops were not permitted to operate on Sundays. On 28 February 1993, the Provisional IRA exploded a bomb hidden in a litter bin on Camden High Street near the market, shortly after lunchtime. The bomb injured 11 people.[4][5] From 2006, a large indoor market hall was constructed in a yard between the Camden Lock Market and the Stables Market that was previously used for open air stalls. In November 2007 a large part of the Stables Market was demolished as part of a long-term redevelopment plan for the area and rebuilt as a year-round permanent market area. In 2016, Urban Markets Company acquired Camden Lock and paid between £300m and £400m for the one-acre site. The joint venture between the founders of Camden Lock and Millitarne Retail Resorts International, the retail developers, was financed by Brockton Capital, a real estate private equity fund.[6] Camden Lock Market is set to have a £20 million makeover to transform it into a traditional arts and craft centre for Londoners. The Urban Market Company plans to double the enclosed area and increase trading space by 15,000 square feet.

Did Wall Street Analysts Predict the Enron Bankruptcy? Debt, Finance (2002)

03:40:34
The Enron scandal, revealed in October 2001, eventually led to the bankruptcy of the Enron Corporation, an American energy company based in Houston, Texas, and the de facto dissolution of Arthur Andersen, which was one of the five largest audit and accountancy partnerships in the world. In addition to being the largest bankruptcy reorganization in American history at that time, Enron was cited as the biggest audit failure.[1] Enron was formed in 1985 by Kenneth Lay after merging Houston Natural Gas and InterNorth. Several years later, when Jeffrey Skilling was hired, he developed a staff of executives that, by the use of accounting loopholes, special purpose entities, and poor financial reporting, were able to hide billions of dollars in debt from failed deals and projects. Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow and other executives not only misled Enron's board of directors and audit committee on high-risk accounting practices, but also pressured Andersen to ignore the issues. Enron shareholders filed a $40 billion lawsuit after the company's stock price, which achieved a high of US$90.75 per share in mid-2000, plummeted to less than $1 by the end of November 2001.[2] The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) began an investigation, and rival Houston competitor Dynegy offered to purchase the company at a very low price. The deal failed, and on December 2, 2001, Enron filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Enron's $63.4 billion in assets made it the largest corporate bankruptcy in U.S. history until WorldCom's bankruptcy the next year.[3] Many executives at Enron were indicted for a variety of charges and some were later sentenced to prison. Enron's auditor, Arthur Andersen, was found guilty in a United States District Court of illegally destroying documents relevant to the SEC investigation which voided its license to audit public companies, effectively closing the business. By the time the ruling was overturned at the U.S. Supreme Court, the company had lost the majority of its customers and had ceased operating. Employees and shareholders received limited returns in lawsuits, despite losing billions in pensions and stock prices. As a consequence of the scandal, new regulations and legislation were enacted to expand the accuracy of financial reporting for public companies.[4] One piece of legislation, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, increased penalties for destroying, altering, or fabricating records in federal investigations or for attempting to defraud shareholders.[5] The act also increased the accountability of auditing firms to remain unbiased and independent of their clients. Between December 2001 and April 2002, the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and the House Committee on Financial Services held multiple hearings about the Enron scandal and related accounting and investor protection issues. These hearings and the corporate scandals that followed Enron led to the passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act on July 30, 2002.[168] The Act is nearly "a mirror image of Enron: the company's perceived corporate governance failings are matched virtually point for point in the principal provisions of the Act."[169] The main provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act included the establishment of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board to develop standards for the preparation of audit reports; the restriction of public accounting companies from providing any non-auditing services when auditing; provisions for the independence of audit committee members, executives being required to sign off on financial reports, and relinquishment of certain executives' bonuses in case of financial restatements; and expanded financial disclosure of companies' relationships with unconsolidated entities.[168] On February 13, 2002, due to the instances of corporate malfeasances and accounting violations, the SEC recommended changes of the stock exchanges' regulations. In June 2002, the New York Stock Exchange announced a new governance proposal, which was approved by the SEC in November 2003. The main provisions of the final NYSE proposal include:[168] All companies must have a majority of independent directors. Independent directors must comply with an elaborate definition of independent directors. The compensation committee, nominating committee, and audit committee shall consist of independent directors. Losing $50,000/ Forex Scams / Reality Exposed /

16:46
With this volume of money floating around an unregulated spot market that trades instantly, over the counter, with no accountability, forex scams offer the lure of earning fortunes in limited amounts of time. While many of the popular old scams have ceased, due to serious enforcement actions by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the 1982 formation of the self-regulatory National Futures Association (NFA), some old scams do still linger, and new ones keep popping up. Back in the Day: The Point-Spread Scam The old forex scam was based on computer manipulation of bid/ask spreads. The point spread between the bid and ask basically reflects the commission of a back-and-forth transaction processed through a broker. These spreads typically differ between currency pairs. The scam occurs when those point spreads differ widely among brokers. Brokers often do not offer the normal two- to three-point spread in the EUR/USD, for example, but spreads of seven pips or more. (A pip is the smallest price move that a given exchange rate makes based on market convention. Since most major currency pairs are priced to four decimal places, the smallest change is that of the last decimal point.) Factor four or more pips on every $1 million trade, and any potential gains resulting from a good investment are eaten away by commissions. This scam has quieted down over the last 10 years, but be careful of any offshore retail brokers that are not regulated by the CFTC, NFA or their nation of origin. These tendencies still exist, and it’s quite easy for firms to pack up and disappear with the money when confronted with actions. Many saw a jail cell for these computer manipulations. But the majority of violators have historically been United States–based companies, not the offshore ones. The Signal-Seller Scam A popular modern-day scam is the signal seller. Signal sellers are retail firms, pooled asset managers, managed account companies or individual traders that offer a system – for a daily, weekly or monthly fee – that claims to identify favorable times to buy or sell a currency pair, based on professional recommendations that will make anyone wealthy. They tout their long experience and trading abilities, plus testimonials from people who vouch for how great a trader and friend the person is, and the vast wealth that this person has earned for them. All the unsuspecting trader has to do is hand over X amount of dollars for the privilege of trade recommendations. Many of these scammers simply collect money from a certain number of traders and disappear. Some will recommend a good trade now and then, to allow the signal money to perpetuate. This new scam is slowly becoming a wider problem. Although there are signal sellers who are honest and perform trade functions as intended, it pays to be skeptical. "Robot" Scamming in Today’s Market A persistent scam, old and new, presents itself in some types of forex-developed trading systems. These scammers tout their system’s ability to generate automatic trades that, even while you sleep, earn vast wealth. Today, the new terminology is “robot,” because of the ability to work automatically. Either way, many of these systems have not been submitted for formal review and tested by an independent source. Examination factors must include the testing of a trading system’s parameters and optimization codes. If the parameters and optimization codes are invalid, the system will generate random buy and sell signals. This will cause unsuspecting traders to do nothing more than gamble. Although tested systems exist on the market, potential forex traders should research any system they’re thinking of incorporating into their trading strategy. Other Factors to Consider Traditionally, many trading systems have been quite costly. Just a few short years ago, $5,000 was not much to pay for a system. This can be viewed as a scam in itself. No trader should pay more than a few hundred dollars for a proper system today. Be especially careful of system sellers who offer programs at exorbitant prices justified by a guarantee of phenomenal results. Look for one of the many legitimate sellers who is decent and whose systems have been properly tested to potentially earn substantial amount of money.

High Speed Expresses at Princes Risborough! 30/04/15

07:15
Apologies for the lack of activity lately, but due to the suspension of West Coast Railway's operating license, a majority of the steam tours I intended to film this year have been cancelled, leaving me a bit out of work. On the plus side though, it has given me more time to devote to my end of year exams, so I guess every cloud and all. :) But still, you join me at Princes Risborough, located on the Chiltern Mainline between London Marylebone and Banbury. On this day, we find ourselves at the evening peak, with a selection of high speed services running between London and Birmingham, operated by the newly introduced Class 68's and their MkIII coaching stock. Also included is the evening relief service, comprised of coaches leased from Cargo-D Rail, and still wearing their British Rail Blue & Grey livery. A Class 67 also sneaks into the mix, with 67014 'Thomas Telford' being the only member of the Class at work today for Chiltern. Other services include the Aylesbury Shuttle, operated by Class 121, 121020, one of the few remaining Class 121 'Bubble Cars' left in revenue earning service. Chiltern operate two of these units, and 121020 is the oldest surviving example, being built in 1959. I have affectionately dubbed this plucky little unit 'Burton the Bubble Car', because I'm that sort of person... :) Apart from that it's a mix of Class 165's, 168's and 172's plying their trade on the Semi-Fast Workings between Birmingham and London. At one time the station, which opened in 1862, served four different railway routes to the north, but has only ever had one southbound line towards London. These lines included a route to Chinnor, Oxford via Bledlow and Aylesbury. Today, only the Aylesbury route remains in active service, although the trackwork of the former Chinnor line is still visible, with a proposal to extend the Chinnor Heritage Railway back to Princes Risborough for through connections to the Mainline. The station was opened originally by the Wycombe Railway, but this was absorbed into the Great Western Railway in 1867. This route, known almost unanimously as the Chiltern Mainline, became the GWR's main connection between London and Birmingham Moor Street and Snow Hill, and once boasted services to Birkenhead, Shrewsbury and Wrexham. In 1948, the Great Western Railway was nationalised by the British Government to form British Railways, and this is when the route began to fall into decline. The Beeching Axe killed off the lines to Chinnor and Oxford, whilst severe rationalisation of the service in the face of higher competition and costs saw the services on this route cut drastically. The once prime loco-hauled expresses were now reduced to a selection of Class 115 Derby Lightweight DMU's. Even up to 25 years ago in 1990, the route was considered for closure due to its poor stock, low service and quality, and that the West Coast Mainline with its 110mph electrics could easily provide a faster service between Birmingham and London. However, in the twilight years of route operator Network SouthEast, major investments began to be placed on this railway which saw the introduction of the new Class 165 units, and later orders for the Class 168 Clubman express units, an order carried out eventually by NSE's successor Chiltern Railways. Since Chiltern Railways took possession of the route franchise in 1996, the company has set about a major refurbishment of the Chiltern Mainline to bring it into the 21st Century. This has included the smoothing of corners and a general upgrading of track for 100mph operation, as well as the construction of many new stations, a curve at Bicester for connections to Oxford, and a continued provision of up to date stock and services. Today, services are operated by a mixture of units and locomotive hauled stock operated by the now defunct Open Access provider Wrexham & Shropshire, which reintroduced loco-hauled services to the route in 2008, but eventually ceased operations in 2011 in the face of poor profitability. Chiltern took on their redundant stock and originally leased Class 67's from DB Schenker, but has now opted to replace these with a fleet of brand new Class 68's leased from Direct Rail Services. Enjoy!

Continental future cockpit display technology for automobiles at Consumer Electronics Show CES2018 The digital cockpit as a complete system With the integrated cockpit system, Continental will be demonstrating how futuristic premium design can be realized for vehicle interiors. Beneath large, curved glass surfaces, the cockpit assembles an array of displays and touchscreens covering the entire width of the vehicle to form a complete system, ranging from the digital side mirror to the central display. Meanwhile, force measurement and haptic feedback from the displays and an interior camera for monitoring the driver, ensure a comprehensive user experience ready for deployment in the next generation of vehicles. Las Vegas, December 14, 2017. Vehicles are increasingly taking on the task of driving themselves, using new drive systems to get to their destinations, simultaneously becoming the center of their users' digital lives. The technology company Continental will be at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 9–12, 2018, to present an exclusive exhibition showcasing to its customers how automation, connectivity and electrification are converting not only vehicles but also mobility as a whole into a new kind of living space. “The decisive developments in our industry have long since ceased to be measured in horsepower and top speed. Today, the parameters for successful mobility solutions are safety, user experience and sustainability. At CES 2018, we will be demonstrating how we are using our solutions to shape the transformation into mobility as a great place to live,” says Helmut Matschi, member of the Continental Executive Board and head of the Interior Division, highlighting the company's areas of focus for the trade show. CES Innovation Awards for Continental Even before the CES, two of Continental's latest developments were recognized with CES Innovation Awards. The Ac2ated Sound speakerless audio system was announced as an honoree in the In-Vehicle Audio/Video category. Ac2ated Sound replaces conventional speakers with actuators. Using a principle similar to that employed in string instruments, the actuators create a high-quality 3D audio experience by vibrating certain surfaces inside the vehicle. LENOVO G66 - Mini Station Review: What Is Going On With This TV Box ?

Latest Smartphone Review!: "OUKITEL MIX 2: Amazing, BUDGET, HIGH SPEC Smartphone Review! 4G, 4K DUAL CAMERAS, 6GB RAM" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePJO0vZHplM --~-- The Lenovo G66 was originally named the Mini station and was aimed at Korean and Asian markets, which meant we never saw this products here in the UK or other Western countries 'I think so anyway'. Lenovo G66 / Mini station ran a heavily modified version of Android 4.4.2 developed by a company called Tencent OS and seams to be a pretty good development for this hardware. Tencent OS has since ceased trading leaving the Lenovo G66 / Mini-Station without any further development and has now being setup with very basic android firmware, which does not compliment the hardware at all. A Afghan and Iraq war veteran paratrooper has a meeting with a HGV truck owner, who has recently painted Poppy's and war remembrance pictures on her cab to raise money in the name of the armed forces. Trans-Atlantic Slave trade part 1 Introduction

05:52
I recommend watching this video: "16th century Equality 21st Century White Supremacy" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Mq6z5Uq4gs&feature=channel_page I want to redo the information I have already presented so it is more viewable. I will continue to work on it Wonders of the African world page 198, we learn the Portuguese come to the so called Gold Coast and soon this area is producing 1/10 of the worlds supply of gold. Many people may be relieved to know that during this period; most of the African slaves that the Portuguese bought were then sold to the Gold Coast. The Portuguese didnt really have anything that the people of the Gold Coast desired, but slaves were sufficient for exchange in gold. It also needs to be emphasized that during this early period slavery in America was not based on race. But as we get closer and closer to 1700, a sort of racial slavery becomes a concrete thing in the colonies. Lets hear was the PBS site on the slave trade has to say PBS http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aia/part1/map1.html "From 1619 on, not long after the first settlement, the need for colonial labor was bolstered by the importation of African captives. At first, like their poor English counterparts, the Africans were treated as indentured servants, who would be freed of their obligations to their owners after serving for several years. However, over the course of the century, a new race-based slavery system developed, and by the dawn of the new century, the majority of Africans and African Americans were slaves for life. The Middle Passage: 1680: The Royal African company transports 5000 African captives annually. By the 18th century, 45,000 Africans are transported annually on British ships." As that last bit showed us there was a boom, amongst the English slave traders, in the 18th century. Gates also tells us that there was a dramatic reversal where people on the Gold Coast ceased purchasing slaves, and instead sold slaves for gold. He mentions reasons for the increasing European demand for slaves, that in 1662 the Dutch won a contract to supply slaves to Spanish America. I can only conclude that the ensuing political turmoil was a result of the slave trade rather than just something that happened by coincidence and just happened to feed the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. Many states even banned gold exports and turned from buying slaves to selling them Quoting from the book page 199 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0375709487/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=304485901&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0000DG013&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0YH0JQ8VJ4CT28F7TKN9 "For a male slave in 1704, the English were offering merchandise worth nearly three ounces of gold. General William de la Plama wrote in 1704, So that the Negroes seeing this, now pay more attention to the slave trade than the gold trade, as they do better by it. And Director General William Butler of Elmina complained that the gold trade had decreased in volume by 50 percent du to the very heavy payments, which the Negroes receive for their slaves. Page 200: By the first two decades of the eighteenth century, the Gold Coast was increasingly identified with the slave trade, while the gold trade had decreased in volume by something like 50 percent. Six years later another report indicated that the gold trade had dwindled to nothing. This transformation was accelerated by the increased demand for slaves from the New World plantations, and higher prices. To the West Africans gold had always been more than just a median of exchange, and they were reluctant to part with it. Also, the king of Dahomey had banned the export of gold from his kingdom, and many traders on the Gold Coast accepted only gold for slaves." This last part is significant and completely supports my theory that European slave traders had to manipulate African money markets in order to expand and maintain the slave trade on a mammoth scale. And one has to ask reluctant to part with it why the hell would they decide they didnt like exporting gold after supplying 1/10 of the worlds supply for over a century.? John Newton On the slave trade 227-252: http://books.google.com/books?id=OjI3AAAAMAAJ&pg=PA245#v=onepage&q=&f=false "I verily believe, that the far greater part of the wars, in Africa, would cease, if the Europeans would cease to tempt them, by offering goods for slaves I have not sufficient data to warrant calculation but, I suppose, not less than one hundred thousand slaves are exported, annually, from all parts of Africa, and that more than one-half of these are exported in English bottoms. If but an equal number are killed in war, and if many of these wars are kindled by the incentive of selling their prisoners ; what an annual accumulation of blood must there be, crying against the nations of Europe concerned in this trade, and particularly against our own!"

Bond Guitar Electraglide played by great female guitarist

01:11
The Bond Electraglide was a carbon fiber electric guitar manufactured by Bond Guitars between 1984 and 1985. It resembled a matte-black, 3-pickup Gibson Melody Maker (although with the 1962 onwards double cut-away), with a unique stepped aluminum fingerboard (anodized black) instead of traditional frets. Pickup switching, volume and tone controls were completely digital, powered by a large internal motherboard. The player selected pickups via five pushbuttons; volume, treble and bass were incremented numerically via digital rocker switches, confirmed by a three-colour LED readout. The guitar required an external power supply pack and given the state of engineering at the time, was relatively bulky; it never really caught on in the marketplace and only about 1400 units were ever manufactured.[1] British guitarist Mick Jones is known to have used a Bond Electraglide with his band Big Audio Dynamite in the mid-1980s. The Edge used his extensively on The Joshua Tree, including the solo on "One Tree Hill", as well as on "Exit," and "Mothers of the Disappeared".[2] Will Sergeant, John Turnbull, and Dave Stewart were also Electraglide users. Bond Guitars was set up by Andrew Bond (who died in 1999) in Muir of Ord, Scotland, in 1984. The company ceased trading in 1986.

1980 Hagstrom SuperSwede Guitar (The Legend with the Zero fret) 'Noodling' By Chris Cox

09:15
I say in the video this was a 1983 model - I meant to say it was a 1980. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karl Erik Hagström Senior told me this was the finest guitar they made, but without sounding cheeky, we already knew that because when we started collecting this was one of the very first we bought (From Halkan's Rockhouse, Stockholm in October 2001). It could have spoiled our expectations for many that followed simply because it was such a fine guitar. However for those that know the Hagstrom story, there is much more to this original brand than the hype associated with the big names in guitar manufacture. It is an amazing story of a company miles from anywhere looking for pioneering opportunities to impress and maintain what had become the biggest music enterprise throughout Scandinavia. This was no inward looking family company. It had a trading history with over 47 countries and the world was starting to get smaller (you thought that was a recent problem for companies?) Yes long before the world wide web, Hagstrom were getting out there supplying music to the world under the direction of the founder Albin Hagstrom. At home they had music stores in almost every town in Sweden, Norway and throughout Scandinavia. They supported music education in schools - obviously good for business too, but as we all know music is good for childrens' development. Outside the region they had been suppliers of quality Hagstrom Accordions to the world with manufacturing hubs as far afield as Teeside Great Britain and Jamestown New York USA and that was only up to World War II. By the end of the 1950's sales of Accordions were all but 'drying up', so Albin's son Karl Erik Hagstrom senior diverted all the attention into making guitars in 1958. They were already the regional distributors for Gibson and Fender amongst any brand that was worth selling through their retail network. Many products were made under contract and locally branded Hagstrom too, but they were primarily a manufacturer, and needed to support a loyal workforce as long as they could. In fact accordion manufacture continued until the mid 1970's, but sales were so low by then that the company resorted to burying complete, cased, ready to sell brand new Hagstrom Accordions in an area on which now stands a car park alongside a filling station and supermarket, quite close the the offices and local museum. So now you understand why this is such a fascinating story. Certainly some of the products they came up with were quirky, but they were all bold and pioneering, aiming to change the world. Take the joint venture Hagstrom did with Ampeg to develop the world's first analogue Synthesiser Guitar system - very costly as within months of it's launch polyphonic/midi etc came along and killed it stone dead! So you can't fault the effort they put into ideas. Even today the former electronics division still trades under the name Amtech headed up by a former Hagstrom employee Bengt Eriksson, supplying bespoke echo systems under the brands Age-One and Age-Pro. In the 1960's Hagstrom produced portable wind organs / keyboards, valve amps based around Mullard and other designs, the world's first portable stereo live pa systems, phenominal live and recording mixers - that you can still find in use today. The trouble is that anything bigger than a guitar was very expensive to send out around the world. So, given the wide area of development that Hagstrom delved into and the increased competition from new manufacturing regions, there were bound to be some things that worked and some that were too expensive to continue, or simply some that got left behind. In the end they could not compete with cheaper larger Far Eastern Corporate manufacturing, and ceased manufacturing in 1983. Along the way there had been historic - indeed iconic Hagstrom slices of history that included the likes of Hendrix, Bowie, Elvis, Zappa through to ABBA and many many more. There had been unique ideas and unforgettable designs. There had been complex engineering that will last longer than anyone could have imagined, so if you still think of Hagstrom as being a little copycat company from a small insignificant part of the world, then you should think again. No company gets everything right, but a lot of companies have an easier route to market, and in the end this was essentially a family run business that achieved a heck of a lot more than most. So from Sparkle guitars made out of accordion materials to this stunning late example the SuperSwede, Hagstrom proved themselves as much as anyone else in the market. Find Out More About Employer Reference Numbers (ERN)

01:57
For more information visit our website: http://www.towergateinsurance.co.uk/liability-insurance As part of our employer’s liability insurance video series this video looks at what your employer reference number does and why it’s so important in streamlining claims and keeping your employees best protected. Video transcript: Hi, my name is Ben Leech, and I'm an advisor for Towergate. In this video I’m going to talk about employer reference numbers and how they relate to your employers liability insurance. Every registered business that has a PAYE scheme is given an Employer Reference Number, also known as an Employer PAYE reference. This unique number belongs to that business alone and not used again by anyone else. This makes it a very helpful means to identify an organisation and for this reason it is used for entering businesses on to the Employer’s Liability Database. Your insurer is responsible for adding your Employer Reference Number onto the database along with the rest of your policy information, so you will need that to hand when you are setting up your business insurance. Once you have been added, claims can then be traced to the correct employers and insurers much more quickly and easily. Don’t forget though, your insurer isn’t asking for your employers reference number to check up on your tax or status. The liability database is simply to help streamline claims. It does this by informing the searcher who the insurance company was at any one time. So if a claim is raised, for example, that happened in the past and the business is no longer operating, the register can actually make it easier to determine who the insurer was when a claim is made. Going from what can take days to a matter of minutes will help stream line the whole claims process which is good news for your employees. Having necessary access to this kind of information means that the protection you provide for your staff with employer’s liability insurance remains in place long after they may have stopped working for you, even after the business has ceased trading.

Continental future cockpit display technology for automobiles at Consumer Electronics Show CES 2018 World’s first touchscreen featuring a 3D surface selected as one of CES 2018 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree in the “In-Vehicle Audio/Video” category The 3D Touch Surface Display ensures greater safety and an enhanced user experience The innovative technology offers design freedom and individualization in the cockpit design Las Vegas (U.S.A.), Babenhausen (Germany), January 8, 2018. The world’s first touchscreen, featuring a 3D surface, combines a unique visual appearance with a brand-new operating concept by Continental. The innovative 3D touch surface display can be operated instinctively, enhancing the user experience and increasing safety. The technology company was awarded the CES 2018 Best of Innovation Award in the “In-Vehicle Audio/Video” category, the highest awarded honor in its category, for its state of the art design and breakthrough technology. Everything at a glance: high-resolution 3D Flash LIDAR The ability to detect a vehicle's entire surroundings is a fundamental prerequisite for automated driving. A key component in this is 3D Flash LIDAR, which now fulfills automotive requirements for the first time. The HFL110 has been developed for use at close range and generates a high-resolution 3D point cloud 30 times per second within its 120° field of vision. That means that a precise distance measurement is taken in real time for every pixel in the field of vision. This produces a list of objects that is then used to define the vehicle's driving strategy. The interconnected pixels of 3D Flash LIDAR make it impervious to the effects of reflectance, and together with the high degree of robustness in unfavorable weather conditions, this further increases the sensor's performance capabilities. Together with other sensors for monitoring surroundings, such as radar and cameras, 3D Flash LIDAR forms a powerful package for detecting everything around the vehicle at any time. The feast is ready (Graham Kendrick) - Southampton Guildhall (Compton organ)

02:41
Me playing the 'variety console' of the organ at the Guildhall, Southampton. I am only an amateur and by no means a pro so wanted to point this out and hope you are still able to get the jist of the amazing skills of the John Compton Organ Company Ltd. Being a Compton organ enthusiast, a visit to this organ was an absolute MUST!!!! It is the only one of its type in the world and the largest instrument which the John Compton Organ Company Ltd ever produced. Opened in 1937, job number A269, there are about 40 ranks of pipes enclosed in 3 chambers above the stage plus the patent Compton melotone unit. What makes this organ extra special is that there are 2 consoles - 1 theatre and 1 classical - operating the relevant sections. Some of the ranks are exclusive to the theatre console, others only available on the classical and others available on both. The consoles are situated each side of the stage - the theatre on the left and the classical on the right as you are facing. The layout in the chambers is as follows: GREAT/CHOIR/PEDAL Diapason 1 Diapason 2 Diapason 3 Diapason 4 Stopped Diapason Hohl Flute Tromba Posaune 1 Posaune 2 Mixture - 2 ranks Mixture - 3 ranks Gemshorn Salicional Cor Anglais Lieblich Flute Vox Angelica Principal Harmonics Mixture - 3 ranks 32ft Diaphone 32ft Posaune SWELL Rohr Flute Flauto Traverso Gamba Voix Celeste Hautboy Fagotto Trumpet Geigen Mixture - 2 ranks Mixture - 3 ranks French Horn Chimes (not original) Non-tonal percussions and novelty effects SOLO Orchestral Trumpet Tuba Tibia Clausa Harmonic Flute Vox Humana Oboe Strings - 2 ranks Cello Celeste Viole Clarinet Xylophone and Glockenspiel OPEN Polyphonic Bass Melotone (under expression) For this first video im playing the lively worship song by Graham Kendrick 'The feast is ready' on the theatre (also called the 'variety') console of the organ. Im using the new Methodist hymn book 'Singing the faith'. In the first verse can be heard the powerful Tuba and in the last verse I use the melotone's Vibraphone effect. Many churches today have music groups consisting of a whole variety on instruments to play music such as this and my aim here was to try and simulate the sound of a typical church music group. I have long been an admirer of Graham Kendrick and feel that if the organ wants to move into the 21st century, it needs to branch out to this style of music in addition to traditional. Click here to see Graham Kendrick himself playing 'The feast is ready': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTXqjo... Someone once commented that I was 'just a hymn basher'. I think this was actually meant to be an insult but I actually take that as a compliment for there is no greater music than that which is written in praise to God!! Therefore, I am happy to be a hymn basher! I must also mention that I am not a cinema organist - I am simply having a go purely for the fun of it and the experience of playing a wonderful Compton organ. I seldom play a theatre organ and even less an organ of this size and magnitude. Whilst playing the organ, there was some maintenance work taking place in the hall so some background noise can be heard. For a full specification of the 'classic console' please click this following link: http://www.npor.org.uk/cgi-bin/Rsearc... For a full specification of the 'variety console' please click this following link: http://www.npor.org.uk/cgi-bin/Rsearc... Compton's were an extremely revolutionary company and this organ is a product of such thinking. The 'melotone' unit for example is an electronic division and was developed into a complete electronic organ and in the 1950s and 60s a whole range of models were produced as well as the 'rotofon' speaker to compliment these. I have 'responded' to this video by a video of me playing one such example - a 357 electrone model with rotofon speaker. In 1964, the pipe division was sold to Rushworth and Dreaper of Liverpool and the company focused on building 'electrone' organs up until about 1970 when they eventually ceased trading. The remnants of Compton's were brought over and - to cut a long story short - are now Makin Organs Ltd which in itself is now owned by the Dutch firm Johannus. NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on youtube. For more information on the John Compton Organ Company Ltd and to see me play other Compton organs, please click on the following link for my site dedicated to the John Compton Organ Company Ltd: http://comptonorgans.yolasite.com/ If you have an interest in Compton organs then I invite you to join my facebook group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/compt...
Air Europa Boeing 737-800 Madrid to Palma de Mallorca, great views! [AirClips full flight series]

13:42
Air Europa Líneas Aéreas, S.A.U. is an airline in Spain, the third largest after Iberia and Vueling. The airline is headquartered in the Polígono Son Noguera in the Centro Empresarial Globalia in Llucmajor, Majorca, Spain. It also operates tour services between northern and western Europe and holiday resorts in the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands. It also operates domestic scheduled services and long-haul scheduled services to North America and South America. Its main base is Palma de Mallorca Airport, Palma de Mallorca. The airline is 100% owned by Globalia, a travel and tourism company managed by Juan José Hidalgo. Since September 2007 the airline has been a member of the SkyTeam alliance. During the last ten years its operations have gradually shifted ever more to focusing on scheduled flights. Globalia's headquarters are also in the Polígono Son Noguera. Air Europa started in 1986 (registered in Spain as Air España SA and previously known as such) as part of the British ILG-Air Europe Group and 75% owned by Spanish banks. It originally had a similar livery to Air Europe but with Air Europa titles, aircraft were registered in Spain and flew holiday charters from Mediterranean resorts and European cities using Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 757. It was the first Spanish private company to operate national scheduled flights (besides charter flights which used to be its main business). When parent company ILG ceased trading in 1991 Air Europa continued profitably with a larger fleet of Boeing 737s and 757s. It signed a franchise agreement with Iberia in January 1998, but this has since been dissolved. It is now owned by Globalia Corporación Empresarial S.A. At the end of the 1990s Boeing 737-800 jets were introduced along with a new livery. In June 2005 it was announced among the four future associate members of SkyTeam alliance, due to join by 2006. However, the joining date was postponed, and it did not become a member until 1 September 2007. Air Europa was the parent company for Air Dominicana, the new flag carrier of the Dominican Republic, until bankruptcy was declared on 21 September 2009. Air Europa retired their last 767 on the 13 April 2012. They also operated as Air France between Valencia Airport and Charles de Gaulle Airport with daily Embraer 195 service. The 737-800 is a stretched version of the 737-700, and replaces the 737-400. It also filled the gap left by the decision to discontinue the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 and MD-90 following Boeing's merger with McDonnell Douglas. The −800 was launched by Hapag-Lloyd Flug (now TUIfly) in 1994 and entered service in 1998. The 737-800 seats 162 passengers in a two-class layout, or 189 in one class, and competes with the A320. For many airlines in the U.S., the 737-800 replaced aging Boeing 727-200 trijets. The 737-800 is also among the models replacing the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series aircraft in airline service; it burns 850 US gallons (3,200 L) of jet fuel per hour, or about 80 percent of the fuel needed by an MD-80 on a comparable flight, even while carrying more passengers than the latter. According to the Airline Monitor, an industry publication, a 737-800 burns 4.88 US gallons (18.5 L) of fuel per seat per hour.[33] Alaska Airlines replaced the MD-80 with the 737-800, saving $2,000 per flight, assuming jet fuel prices of $4 per gallon. The fuel cost of each such flight (2008 prices) on a 737-800 is about $8,500. On August 14, 2008, American Airlines announced 26 orders for the 737-800 (20 are exercised options from previously signed contracts and six are new incremental orders) as well as accelerated deliveries. A total of 2,135 -800, and 16 -800 BBJ aircraft have been delivered with 1,521 unfilled orders as of January 2011. Ryanair, an Irish low-cost airline is among the largest operators of the Boeing 737-800, with a fleet of over 300 aircraft serving routes across Europe and North Africa.

Africa Can't Trust China

15:06
Africa is no stranger to exploitation. After decades of colonial rule under major Western powers, the continent was left with a legacy of harsh, imperialist rule that set it back years in modernization. As a result, it has become the focus of mountains of developmental assistance from countries hoping to foster social, institutional, and infrastructural change, totaling over 300 billion USD since 1970 alone. This assistance was often conditional, with aid dependent on a country’s human rights track record. The West however, has ceased to be Africa’s only option when it comes to aid and development. Recently, a number of African countries have become increasingly drawn to China’s “no-strings attached” development assistance and promises of growth. While these policies certainly create economic gains for Africa, the vestiges of colonialism evident in this relationship raise questions about the true cost of realizing these benefits. A Double Edged Sword? Currently the continent’s largest trading partner, China relies on African markets for a steady flow of natural resources to sustain manufacturing. The African resources China imports are varied, covering everything from oil, to iron ore, timber, and copper. In exchange for broad access to resources, China exports cheap manufactured goods back to its trading partners, builds much needed infrastructure, provides foreign direct investments, and loans out billions of dollars. In 2014 alone, the value of this trade totaled over $200 billion. Furthermore, over half of China’s foreign aid is distributed in Africa. Though advocates of this inflow of money claim it spurs development, critics of China’s policies in Africa paint a picture of trade imbalances that are handicapping the nations involved, while grossly advantaging China at the expense of the African people. These critics believe that China seeks to establish itself as a new colonial power. Infrastructure programs funded by the Chinese government, for example, are often carried out by Chinese workers. Instead of giving local companies and citizens a vital opportunity to grow experience and capital, these contracts overwhelmingly benefit Chinese corporations and bring in massive profits. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce reported $50 billion in new contracts in 2015. The following year, the China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) announced over $five billion in contracts within Africa. Chinese goods are also flooding African markets, overwhelming local producers with large volumes of cheap products that are difficult to compete with. Moreover, in industries that do employ African workers, companies are still not exempt from criticism. In 2011, Human Rights Watch released a scathing review of treatment of Zambian workers in Chinese owned copper mines, claiming unsafe working conditions, exploitative hours, and threats to those that posed complaints.

CPEC(China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) In Fort Munro Pakistan.

04:45
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The improvement of geographic linkages having enhanced road, rail and aviation system with regular and free avenues of expansion and people to people contact, improving comprehension through academic, regional and cultural knowledge and culture, action of greater quantity of flow of commerce and companies, moving and producing energy to possess more optimum companies and improvement of co-operation by win-win model is going to lead to well connected, incorporated area of shared fate, stability and development. A selection of infrastructure projects which are under construction throughout Pakistan. CPEC is made to quickly modernize Pakistani infrastructure and strengthen its market by the building of modern transport networks, various energy jobs, and special economic zones. About 13 November 2016, CPEC became partially operational when Chinese freight was transported overland into Gwadar Port for onward marine dispatch to Africa and West Asia, though some significant energy projects were commissioned by overdue 2017. A Vast system of highways and railways must be constructed under the aegis of CPEC which may span the length and width of Pakistan. A 1,100-kilometer extended motorway is going to be constructed between the towns of Karachi and Lahore as part of CPEC, whereas the Karakoram Highway involving Rawalpindi along with the Chinese boundary will be entirely rebuilt and overhauled. The Karachi--Peshawar main railroad line will also be updated to permit for train traveling at around 160 kilometers per hour by December 2019. The estimated $11 billion needed to modernize transport networks will probably be funded by subsidized concessionary loans. More than 10,400MW of energy producing capacity will be brought online by the end of 2018, together with most developed within CPEC's fast-tracked "Early Harvest" jobs. Electricity from those projects will mostly be produced from fossil fuels, although hydroelectric and wind-power jobs are also included, as is the building of among the world's biggest solar farms. Many Pakistani workers have been delivered to China for Additional research by Chinese-funded partnerships and will become the major figures of this new era overseeing Pakistani industrialization. On the flip side, even though the Pakistani authorities and the army are doing their utmost to defend the safety of this CPEC, you will find reports discrediting it by West-driven English language press, he added. Some writers stated there were rumor's the corridor will adhere to the older roadmap of the British East India Company and result in a different colonization of Pakistan; China has delivered a significant number of prisoners to Pakistan to work on the structure so as to save labor cost; China simply focuses on Punjab state; China will not offer you preferential trade coverage to Pakistan. The industrial park has turned into a special economic zone exclusive to Chinese capitals. China has reacted to those rumours on many occasions. All Chinese technicians and engineers operating in Pakistan have got the permission of the relevant sections of both authorities. The research fellow stated that China respects Pakistan's Economic and social growth and hasn't insisted completely equivalent reciprocity. It continues to supply Pakistan with preferential treatment in Terms of trade. China hasn't ceased non-Chinese businesses from entering the China-Pakistan economic free zone and does not have any motive to do so. And China favors Certain states in Pakistan since they have a fantastic development record with A high level of security. Bogus reports about the CPEC through comprehensive and multifaceted cooperation and Construct a fantastic media corridor between. Writers and intellectuals from the Countries must also join hands to research positive stories from the corridor. "I firmly agree with all the China-Pakistan Life Rescue Corridor that's being Constructed. We could even construct corridors on employment and industrial parks in order to Increase collaboration between bilateral interaction and partnerships involving. Oporto Outback Fiesty Chicken Burger Taste Test

Oporto have outlets at several major shopping centres. Their stores originated from Bondi Beach in Sydney but have spread around Australia. Their menu includes many chicken related items. Check out what I thought of their Outback Fiesty chicken Burger. http://www.oporto.com.au/ #foodie Oporto https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oporto_(restaurant) Oporto is an Australian fast food restaurant franchise with a Portuguese-theme. Oporto specialises in Portuguese style chicken. Oporto has more than 100 'eat in' or 'take-away' restaurants in Australia, New Zealand, India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, although a large majority of these are located in New South Wales, Australia, where the company is headquartered. It previously also operated stores throughout China. The first Oporto restaurant was founded in 1986 by António Cerqueira, an Australian of Portuguese descent, in North Bondi, New South Wales, Australia but was originally named Portuguese Style Bondi Charcoal Chicken. The 'Oporto' name came from Porto, Portugal's second largest city. Oporto first opened a franchise store in 1995 and was named the fastest growing franchise in Australia in January 2005 by Business Review Weekly. In 2007 there were 100 locations in New South Wales, 14 in Queensland, 8 in Victoria, 5 in ACT, 5 in South Australia and 6 in New Zealand. Some of these restaurants are called Oporto Express and offer a smaller range of products – most commonly this means they do not offer a breakfast menu. Oporto opened their first store in the United Kingdom at London's Victoria Station in January 2009, and opened their first restaurant in the United States in Rancho Cucamonga, California on 25 February 2011. There are now over 100 stores in operation in the world (currently in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States). Oporto has three types of Oporto store types; Drive Thru, Shopping Centre and Strip stores. In July 2007, Quadrant Private Equity and Quick Service Restaurant Holdings (which owns Red Rooster and Chicken Treat) purchased Oporto. In June 2011, Archer Capital acquired Quick Service Restaurant Holdings from Quadrant Private Equity for an estimated $450 million (including Red Rooster and Chicken Treat). On 26 March 2012 Oporto ceased trading in China, closing its three outlets. In 2013, Oporto opened their first restaurant in Western Australia in South Perth on the Corner Canning Hwy & Berwick St. Oporto has since increased to over 8 stores in the region. Food Oporto's chilli sauce is a Portuguese piri-piri sauce made from chilli, ginger, lemon and garlic. Oporto has a range of fast food items centering on its grilled chicken. WHY US-PAKISTAN RELATIONSHIP IS GETTING INTO TROUBLE? TOP 5 FACTS

08:10
INTRODUCTION: President Donald Trump warned Pakistan on Monday that Washington will no longer tolerate Pakistan offering “safe havens” to extremists. Trump declared, outlining a new US security strategy in South Asia, “We can no longer be silent about Pakistan’s safe havens for terrorist organizations”. “Pakistan has much to gain from partnering with our effort in Afghanistan. It has much to lose by continuing to harbor criminals and terrorists.” Going further, Trump suggested that military and other aid to Washington’s nuclear-armed ally is at stake, if it does not clamp down on extremism. He said, “We have been paying Pakistan billions and billions of dollars at the same time they are housing the very terrorists that we are fighting, that will have to change and that will change immediately. It is time for Pakistan to dedicate to civilization and order and peace.” USA has provided Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid since 2001,after the world trade center attack. The aid was provided mainly to support the country's counterterrorism efforts, specifically against the Taliban and its allies active in Afghanistan. The majority of US assistance to Pakistan is from the Coalition Support Fund. It provided reimbursement to Pakistan for expenses incurred, & compensation for facilities made available to the coalition forces, such as the Shamsi & Dalbandin air bases. In this video, Defense Updates looks at 5 reasons WHY US -PAKISTAN RELATIONSHIP IS GETTING INTO TROUBLE? So, lets get started. COLLUSION WITH CHINA On May 2, The US Navy SEALs successfully killed Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. The SEALs flew into Pakistan in Sikorsky UH-60 “Black Hawk” helicopters equipped with top-secret stealth technology. One of the advanced choppers was rendered inoperable after it crashed into the wall of the terror chief’s compound. The SEALs attempted to destroy the helicopter, but parts of the helicopter, including its tail, remained intact. The Pakistani Government, allowed Chinese technical team to come in and take photographs of the remains. They were also allowed to touch, inspect and examine components of the nearly destructed chopper. This was done despite, explicit requests from the CIA not to. TERRORISM IN INDIA Pakistan has long been supporting terrorism in India, and has ceased to stop it. It has terror training camps in its soil, & infiltration attempts through Line of control have taken place with active support from Pakistan military & I.S.I. SAFE HEAVEN TO GLOBAL TERRORIST U.S.A found Osama Bin Laden found hiding in a walled compound less than a mile from Pakistan's elite military academy. It does not require one to be exceptionally intelligent to understand that, the Pakistani authorities protected him. Evidences suggest that the I.S.I chief, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shu ja Pasha, knew of Bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad, Pakistan. NUCLEAR MATERIAL TO NORTH KOREA North Korean has acquired material for creating nuclear bombs, but how was it possible when it was under sanctions? Pakistan sold nuclear materials to North Korea. Analysts in US said, Pakistan Energy Commission (PAEC), has supplied restricted items like 'Monel' and 'Inconel' to North Korea, in violation of UN sanctions. They added that the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) had received a written complaint that supplies of a Chinese company, Beijing Suntech Technology Co. Ltd, were being diverted to North Korea, by the Pakistani authorities. In effect, Pakistan has procured these sensitive items from China and has passed them along to North Korea. TERRORISM IN AFGHANISTAN Pakistan seeks to turn Afghanistan into its backyard and put the government under its sphere of influence. It seeks “strategic depth” in Afghanistan for Pakistan’s competition with India. For that it has backed terrorist activity in Afghanistan. It is maintaining and protecting the Taliban, to use them as a proxy force to gain control over, and eventually dominate Afghanistan. Pakistan was responsible for the evacuation of about 5000 of the top leadership of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda who were encircled by Nato forces in the 2001 Invasion of Afghanistan. This event, known as the Kunduz airlift, which is also popularly called the "Airlift of Evil", involved, several Pakistani Air Force transport planes flying multiple sorties over a number of days. These activities have not ceased till date. CONCLUSION: The previous Obama and Bush administrations opted for diplomacy and financial aid for coaxing Pakistan to work in a regional alliance. But as evident from points discussed in this video, those have not worked. US lawmakers have been increasingly getting frustrated with Pakistan. President Trump unlike previous presidents, is taking a much stricter stand in dealing with Pakistan.

Financialization Explained

04:54
Short explainer video about financialization, produced by: https://systemsinnovation.io Twitter: http://bit.ly/2TTjlDH Financialization is an economic paradigm where the conversion of real economic value into financial instruments and their exchange within the financial system comes to dominate economic institutions, activity and value creation. Through financialization, the financial industry converts any work product, physical asset or service to an exchangeable financial instrument, that can be traded, speculated upon and ultimately managed through the financial system. As Professor Geta Krippner has stated it, financialization is the "Pattern of accumulation in which profit making occurs increasingly through financial channels rather than through trade and commodity production" Financialization can be thought of as the virtualization of our real economies. Through information technology and lots of financial analysts, we perform what is called securitization. Securitization is the process of taking an illiquid asset, or group of assets, and through financial engineering, transforming them into a security that can be traded. As this process has grown in scale the importance of financial markets and institutions in the operation of the global economy and its governing institutions has also risen to unprecedented levels. This has raised concerns from many, while at the same time society's perspective on finance has changed significantly. Since the liberalization of capital markets in the 1980s, the number and quantity of financial instruments have grown rapidly. Today the financial system dominates over the real economy. In this time financial leverage has tended to override capital equity, and financial markets have tended to dominate over traditional industrial economic activity. Traditionally, prior to the 1980s, the primary occupation of banks was in taking deposits and lending them out to businesses, thus making them strongly integrated with real economic activity. However, recent research has shown that only approximately 15% of the financial flows coming out of the largest financial institutions in the US are now going to business investments. This is a profound shift in what the financial system does and is, that departs significantly from our traditional economic models for the role of finance within the overall economy. Much of the money that has been diverted from real economic activity has gone into the development of the global derivatives market. A key feature of financialization as it has evolved over the past decades has been the proliferation of derivatives of all form. In the year 2006 derivatives trading reached a level of 1,200 trillion dollars, dwarfing the output of the real global economy that was approximate 50 trillion dollars at that time. On a broader level, financialization can be seen to mark a transition from a traditional form of Industrial Age capitalism, that was based on the physical means of production as the primary source of capital, power and value creation, to a new form of information and services based financial capitalism. In this transition, the financial system has ceased to simply play the role of assisting in the running and operation of the real economy of goods and services, but rather has come to dominate, even displace, real economic activity. This broader transformation has fed through to the strong effect the financial system has had in shaping the evolving nature of the corporation within advanced economies, as financial rationale and practices have re-shaped performance metrics within the corporation. As the remuneration going to top management has become increasingly aligned with the interests of the financial system, shareholder equity has increasingly come to replace other metrics for success. Equally, the rise of finance has gone hand in hand with privatization enabling it to affect almost all sectors of the economy including the public sector and utilities. The net result of financialization and globalization is the formation of one of the first truly global complex systems that we are far from understanding, and this lack of understanding creates major vulnerabilities. The critical role that finance plays within a modern economy places the real global economy in a very precarious and unstable situation. Adair Turner - the head of Britain's Financial Services Authority - directly named financialization as the primary cause of the 2007 financial crisis.

ITALIAN PIZZA HAND MADE IN FRONT OF YOU IN CAMDEN TOWN MARKET LONDON

07:02
STREET FOOD LONDON, CAMDEN TOWN MARKET, FOOD IN CAMDEN TOWN, The Camden markets are a number of adjoining large retail markets in Camden Town near the Hampstead Road Lock of the Regent's Canal (popularly referred to as Camden Lock), often collectively named "Camden Market" or "Camden Lock". The Urban Market Company plans to double the enclosed area and increase trading space by 15,000 square feet

Serial Offender: Vietnam's continued imports of illegal Cambodian timber

02:01
Vietnam, which has a long history of theft of timber from neighbouring Laos and Cambodia, recently initialled a timber trade agreement with the European Union. This will see Vietnam implement legislation to address imports of illegally harvested or traded timber, in return for timber exports to the EU being deemed to comply with the requirements of the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR). With formal signing and ratification of this agreement expected in 2018, EIA went to the region during the 2017-18 dry season to investigate whether the illegal trade in Cambodian timber had ceased. EIA identified three main areas within Cambodia where substantial illegal logging operations were under way: Virachey National Park in Rattanakiri province, the forests surrounding the Lower Sesan 2 dam in Stung Treng province, and Phnom Prich Wildlife Sanctuary in Mondulkiri province. EIA tracked timber from these sites to where it entered Vietnam, both through an official border crossing at Hoa Lu in Bình Phước province and Le Thanh in Gia Lai province, and where it was smuggled out of Cambodia and into Vietnam across informal crossings near both Hoa Lu and Le Thanh. Vietnam continues its role as a serial offender in the illegal timber trade, with large volumes of illegal timber still flowing across the Cambodian border unhindered. https://eia-international.org/serialoffender

Air Europa Embraer 195 Madrid to Palma de Mallorca [AirClips full flight series]

10:08
The Embraer E-Jet family is a series of narrow-body medium-range twin-engine jet airliners produced by Brazilian aerospace conglomerate Embraer. Launched at the Paris Air Show in 1999, and entering production in 2002, the aircraft series has been a commercial success. The aircraft is used by both mainline and regional airlines around the world. As of 31 December 2013, there is a backlog of 279 firm orders for the E-Jets, 689 options and 998 units delivered. The E-190/195 models are a larger stretch of the E-170/175 models fitted with a new, larger wing, larger horizontal stabilizer and a new engine, the GE CF34-10E, rated at 18,500 lb (82.30 kN). These aircraft compete with the Bombardier CRJ-1000 and CS100, the Boeing 717-200 and 737-600, and the Airbus A318. It can carry 100 passengers in a two-class configuration or 124 in single-class high density configuration. The first flight of the E-190 was on March 12, 2004 (PP-XMA), with the first flight of the E-195 (PP-XMJ) on December 7 of the same year. The launch customer of the E-190 was New York-based low-cost carrier JetBlue with 100 orders and 100 options. British low-cost carrier Flybe launched the E-195 with 14 orders and 12 options. As the 190/195 models are of mainline aircraft size, many airlines operate them as such, fitting them with a business class section and operating them themselves, instead of having them flown by a regional airline partner. For example, Air Canada operates 45 E-190 aircraft fitted with 9 business-class and 88 economy-class seats as part of its primary fleet. JetBlue and US Airways also operate the E-190 as part of their own fleet thus allowing airlines increased crewing flexibility by having the ability of air crews to work aboard narrow-body or widebody aircraft all the same.

Compton Electrone Organs - a miscellany by Chris Lawton

30:20
A collection of some of the videos of me playing electronic (electrone) organs by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd. Compton first began experimenting with electronic organ tones in the late 1920s after hiring a talented electronic engineer by the name of Leslie Bourne. By the mid 1930s, they had produced the 'melotone' which was attached to most of the cinema pipe organs produced by the company between 1935 and 1939. This was developed into a complete electronic organ by the late 1930s with the cinema model been called the 'theatrone' and the church model the 'electrone'. After world war two, the company developed a complete range of electronic models ranging from a single manual to large custom built jobs. These were built alongside pipe organ production until this side of the company ceased in 1964. Many of the larger models in the 1960s featured the Compton patent 'rotofon' loudspeaker. This was where 4 treble speakers were mounted on a windmill like structure and rotated to create a doppler effect to make the organ sound more like a pipe instrument. The Compton company ceased trading in 1970 and was acquired by a Mr Pilling of Rochdale who set up 'Makin Organs Ltd'.
