How to Wake Up at 4:30 AM Feeling Rested
A majority of the most successful people out there are known to get up way before the crack of dawn. How do they manage it? Should "the night owls" try to conform or continue blissfully marching to the beat of their own late-night drum? Unfortunately, you’re better off switching to a morning routine. The first thing you need to do is find out how much sleep you really need. Adults are advised to get from 5 to 9 hours of sleep a night, but “5 to 9” leaves a lot of wiggle room! That’s why your job is to figure out exactly where you stand on that scale. How much sleep a person’s body needs to function properly the following day is a totally individual thing. You’ll need to experiment for a while to find out your perfect amount of sleep. And yes, it is possible to sleep too much, and it’s no better than sleeping too little. Too much sleep can make you feel sluggish and drowsy throughout the whole day. TIMESTAMPS: Don't change your sleeping pattern overnight 3:03 Make your environment suitable for a good night’s rest 3:27 There are devices out there to help you out 4:06 Do not hit the “snooze” button 4:48 Recruit allies 5:46 Trick your body into getting up early 6:18 Give yourself a reason to get up 6:45 Avoid naps during the day 7:52 Steer clear of stimulants after 3PM 8:25 Remember that your bed is only for sleep 8:45 #soundsleep #insomnia #wakeupearly Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Once you’ve established how many hours of sleep your body needs, you then wanna shift your sleep schedule back. That is, go to bed earlier to wake up earlier. - Give your body time to adjust. Get up just 15 minutes earlier each day until you reach your goal. - Block out all the light in the room. That means your curtains shouldn’t let in any light from the street. Also, switch off all electronic devices in the room. - You could try a white noise machine. These things effectively block out background noises like sirens, traffic, car alarms, or even loud neighbors. - After you set your alarm in the evening, put your phone or alarm clock somewhere out of reach. - If you still have problems showing your alarm clock who’s boss, try involving someone who can help you wake up. - Drink a full glass of water each evening before bed. When your alarm clock starts to ring, your awakening body will immediately inform you of its discomfort. - Sometimes you just need some external motivation. One way to do that is to schedule some important thing, like a job interview or a dentist appointment, for an early morning. - If after an especially strenuous day, you feel like you’re about to fall over if you don’t close your eyes for just a minute, then go ahead and have a short snooze. But limit your naps to under 15 minutes. - Steer clear of stimulants after 3PM. That means no soda, coffee, or energy drinks in the late afternoon. - You shouldn't work or watch TV in bed. If you use your bed for things other than sleep, your brain starts to associate it with wakefulness. Why I Started Waking Up at 5:30 AM And How It Changed My Life
How to Change Your Life through Your Sleep Cycle. We keep hearing how early birds are way more productive and successful. We decided to conduct an experiment to find out whether it's truly helpful or necessary to wake up super early every day. If you want to try to change your sleep cycle and transform your life you can follow some simple tips on how to become an early bird. TIMESTAMPS How it all started 0:48 The first week of the experiment 1:55 How I changed my morning routine 3:55 Why introverts will love early rises 5:33 The new attitude to breakfast 7:06 How the quality of sleep changed 7:59 How to become an early riser 8:17 Jerry Seinfeld approach 10:23 Music: Good Starts . Jingle Punks Happy Haunts . Aaron Kenny https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -The first couple of days were the worst. I could barely keep my eyes open, and I dreamed about getting back to sleep. -After the first week, however, I learned an eye-opening truth about myself: mornings are the most productive time of day for me. I started to wake up with a clear mind, a well-rested body, and the ability to immediately concentrate on important tasks and set goals for the following day. -My new sleeping regime gave me 2 extra hours before I had to leave for work. All the spare time I had opened doors to new possibilities, habits, and hobbies. -If you're an introvert and enjoy spending time alone in silence, you'll definitely have a new level of appreciation for early rises: no kids yelling, no babies crying, no cars honking, and no television noise. -I had enough time not only to prepare breakfast but to sit down and enjoy it as well. And after that, I'll never go back to my old “I'll just grab a snack” ways. -During this monthlong experiment, I realized that I don’t need to stay in bed for 10–12 hours to get enough sleep. Waking up at 5:30, I feel rested and full of energy to start a new day. -To become an early riser, open your curtains before going to bed. Withdraw from your phone, tablet, and TV at least an hour before bed if you want to improve the quality of your sleep. If you have trouble falling asleep, try reading in bed or listening to an audiobook. -Jerry Seinfeld has a big wall calendar, and for every day that he writes new material, he puts a big red “X” on it. He aims to create an unbroken chain of these “X” marks for as long as he can. Do These 5 Things Every Morning, See How It Will Change You
How to make your day more productive? To have a productive day, there are things you should do every morning — and no, this doesn’t include chugging copious amounts of coffee! When you wake up, what’s the first thing you do? Check your phone? Get up and brush your teeth? Do you know that if you’re not gulping down a nice tall glass of water, you’re doing yourself a disservice? Or that unhealthy breakfast does nothing to help your body throughout the day? Or that if you begin your day without doing any stretching or movement, you’re more likely to hurt yourself later on? So, guys, will you be able to fit these activities into your morning routine? And since you haven’t eaten anything yet, this flush is very smooth and effective. - Oats are a great source of protein, and they’re great for healthy digestion. That’s because they’re full of healthy vitamins, minerals, and complex carbohydrates that digest slowly in your system, keeping your blood sugar levels steady. - When you fall asleep and wake up again 10 or 20 minutes later, you’re interrupting your sleep cycle, which will make you feel super groggy and disoriented long after you get out of bed. - If you keep the shades drawn all morning and get ready in darkness, your body thinks it’s not time to function yet. This delays your body’s natural rhythm and gets your day off to a bad start. - Doing mobilizing exercises in the morning is a great way to prepare your body for the day by lubricating the joints and warming up the muscles. 5 Simple Reasons You Can't Wake Up in the Morning
Are you a night owl or an early bird? Are you constantly pressing the snooze button on your alarm even though you had a full night’s rest? If you’re more of a night owl than a morning person, your late-night activities will naturally make you sleepy in the morning. But if you’re not, it can be hard to figure out why, despite all your efforts, you simply cannot get up when your alarm goes off. Watch the video to learn what could be causing this baffling situation. An informal poll found that 90% of successful executives are early risers. These early birds include Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO, who’s up at 5 a.m., Tim Cook, Apple CEO, who’s up at 3:45 a.m., and Indra Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo, who’s up at 4 a.m. Rising early allows these and other executives to have time to exercise, catch up on the news, eat a healthy breakfast, and engage in mindfulness practices like meditation. There are a lot of reasons why being a morning person can be beneficial. If you haven’t been rising early but want to, the following information might give you an insight. TIMESTAMPS: Genetics 1:18 Mental health 2:41 Anemia 3:44 Your electronics 4:31 The weather 5:37 Positive aspects of waking up early 6:41 How to be an early riser 7:08 #sleepiness #drowsiness #wakingup Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The study found that people who prefer “morningness” (as the study calls it) have at least 7 genes connected to their circadian rhythm, which guides their preference. - People who suffer from atypical depression can feel sad sometimes, but their mood can visibly brighten when there are positive events in their lives. They might not even be aware that they suffer from this condition. 2 telltale symptoms are eating too much and sleeping too much. - If you eat healthy foods, exercise, and drink copious amounts of coffee to jolt you awake yet still feel tired, especially in the mornings, an iron deficiency could be the reason. Low iron levels in your body can lead to feelings of fatigue. - Your quality of sleep can be drastically affected by a device you use every day: your phone. If you use it late at night, your phone has the power to make you struggle every morning since it affects your circadian rhythm. - Winter brings shorter days and longer nights. You learned earlier that for your inner clock to tell you it’s time to wake up, your body needs to see sunlight. When it doesn’t, it thinks it should continue sleeping. - Medications such as melatonin or other sleep-inducing drugs can be of use, but always consult a doctor before taking any medicine. - Talk to a therapist if you suffer from anxiety or depression to alleviate your symptoms and get better sleep. - Drink a cup of water as soon as you wake up in the morning. Water can be more powerful than coffee in jolting your body awake. - Avoid activities before bed that are too stimulating. Start to relax at least an hour before bed. Why You Keep Waking Up at the Same Time Every Night
How to Get Enough Sleep. You go to sleep, everything's fine, and then all of a sudden you wake up in the middle of the night, and as it repeats day by day you notice it happens at the same time. Why does your sleep get interrupted? Chinese medical practitioners believe that it happens because of a blockage of energy in one of your internal organs. You’ll find out how to fix it and get enough healthy sleep every night without waking up. It turns out it matters at what time you wake up since it speaks of different health problems. TIMESTAMPS The Chinese meridian clock 0:56 If you keep waking up between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. 2:27 If you tend to wake up between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. 3:15 If you tend to wake up between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. 4:13 If you tend to wake up between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. 5:03 If you tend to wake up between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. 5:55 Music: Classique - Francis Preve https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -If you keep waking up between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., this means that it's problems with your immune system, thyroid, adrenal glands, or metabolism keeping you awake. -If you tend to wake up between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., it signals that you probably have gallstones or need to adjust your fat intake and start to eat more healthy oils. -Awakenings between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. indicate that there are too many toxins in your body for your liver to deal with. If we take a look at the emotional side of the problem, waking up between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. points out problems with anger, frustration, guilt, and even rage. -If you usually suffer from waking up between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., this reveals problems with your lungs. The lungs are connected to the emotions, particularly sadness and grief. -If you can't help but wake up between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., there's an imbalance in your large intestine. During these morning hours, the energy flow is concentrated on helping your large intestine clear waste from your body. Constipation, weight gain, or even premature aging are other scary signs of this problem. Download the free book 'Man Up or Man Down' and read the full article here: http://www.pmcgregor.com/how-to-wake-... Ever set the intention to wake up early one morning but snoozed your way back to sleep? It goes a little something like this… The alarm is set for 5am. The alarm goes off at 5am. You snooze the alarm at 5am. You stay awake for a few minutes. Then snooze again. The alarm goes off again. You snooze. It goes off again… This time, in the attempt to get a few extra minutes kip and to stop waking others, you turn the alarm off. You sleep in. You wake up angry and frustrated and lack motivation throughout the day. Has that ever happened to you? It certainly has to me. I was never one for early mornings, but I now typically wake up around 5:30am to start my day. Personally I’m the most productive in the mornings, I’m the most creative and the silence makes it peaceful. When you have a good morning routine in place, I personally believe you set yourself up for a better day. But how do we get ourselves to avoid the snooze button, avoid a lay in and wake up in the mornings? Here’s what helped me…

Always Wake Up Before 6:00 AM, See How It Changes You
Do you know why successful people are early risers? By taking time in the morning, they’re able to take care of their bodies physically and prepare themselves mentally for the day. Their early routine allows them to establish daily goals and avoid following a monotonous routine at work Maybe you once had to wake up before 6 a.m. for an early flight and think you could never do it regularly. But trust us — it’s totally worth it! This habit can be the wake-up call you need to get out of a monotonous routine. It can make you more self-aware and increase your confidence. TIMESTAMPS: Time for exercise 0:49 Meditation time 1:54 Better sleep 2:54 It can be empowering 3:44 Unlock your creative power! 4:46 Time shared with other family members 5:46 Successful people do it 6:38 How to change your sleep schedule 7:39 #morningroutine #wakingupearly #earlybird Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Biologically, testosterone reaches its highest levels in men in the early morning. So if you exercise at the crack of dawn, you can be more efficient at building muscle. - Everybody needs some time to themselves. If you can’t fit it into your schedule, you can achieve it by waking up early. - Heading to bed early and rising early is also good for your sleep. If you rise early, you expend your energy from the beginning of your day onward, and your energy meter, so to speak, would become lower and lower throughout the day. - Waking up before 6 a.m. can give you that time and the sense that you are in control of your life. This quiet time will allow you to hear your own opinions on how you feel, what you want to do for the day, and if you want to accomplish something really special. - If you work in a creative field like drawing, writing, painting, or filmmaking, rising early can be beneficial to you. - If you want to be closer to your family but don’t know where to fit it into your schedule, the morning is a great time to check in with everyone and agree on how the day’s gonna go. - Start going to bed early. Don’t skimp on the recommended sleep hours in an effort to wake up early because it will be counterproductive. - The circadian clock operates based on daylight, so getting a bit of sun when you wake up will help it reset and make it easier for you to wake up early. - Don’t oversleep on the weekends. If you rise early on weekdays but sleep until 10 a.m. on the weekends, you’ll end up feeling terrible. Though society may pressure you into believing that waking earlier is somehow better, more moral, reflective of a hard-working nature,... Plenty of successful people stay up until 2 A.M. and sleep in until 10 A.M., so don't fall into that trap. Consider your own body and your needs. Pick a wake-up time that you can maintain and don't let it be too early or inconsistent with your typical, natural pattern." Also, YOU WILL BE TEMPTED. ZERO CHEATING. This is going to take discipline. You must do this for at least 30 days in a row straight. PERIOD. Not a single day sleeping in for even a little bit. Let's do this! :) After 30 days you can re-think what's best for you. (perhaps you decide to sleep in a tiny bit on weekends, or find a more suitable time to wakeup that you'll experiment with, etc.). But seriously go ALL-IN on this experiment. Really be religious about it for 30 days. A big thing about this experiment is: "The mindset shift you get is awesome because when you get up when you decide you should be up, you are controlling your day, instead of your obligations controlling you." ►SUBSCRIBE!: http://www.youtube.com/user/GoldJacketLuke?sub_confirmation=1 ►Checkout IMAGINARY MEN -- a very unique audio program that I created with five other coaches! How To Wake Up Early And Not Feel Tired (Simple Morning Routine)
In this video, I decided to share my simple morning routine to wake up early and not feel tired. Subscribe here https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=shockingfit Online Coaching now available: https://www.tomic.com/contact/ Waking up early in the morning is one of the best productivity tools I've ever done in my life. By waking up early and getting started on your work you can avoid a lot of distractions and chaos that normally happens throughout the day. This is especially important if you run your own business, or if you're working remotely. When I first moved from office-work to remote work I had completely lost structure in my day and my productivity took a big hit. There was nothing forcing me to wake up early and start working. The accountability now was my own responsibility. So for those first few months, it was chaos, I barely got anything done. Some days I would be waking up at Noon or even 2 PM because the night before I stayed up very late. That was a while back, luckily now I've developed a system and routines to help my manage the day. So in this video, I decided to share a routine that allows me to wake up early and get started on work immediately, no hesitation, no procrastination. Step 1 - The night before or the day before I determine what is the thing I'm going to work on first the next morning. This is a critical step, you don't want to wake up and then have to decide what to do. Those first few hours should be planned. Step 2 - Wake up, and as soon as my feet hit the floor I tell myself "It's going to be a great day today." This tiny habit serves as a positive affirmation to get up and running without any hesitation. I'm doing this every day now and it frames the day in the positive direction. There's really no magic to it, but things like this all add up. Step 3 - Toilet, measure my body-weight, brush teeth. While I'm brushing teeth I'm visualizing and thinking about that first thing I had planned to do that day. Step 4 - Drink a big glass of water. This alone helps me wake up immediately. Step 5 - Take a 3-4 minute cold shower. I don't do any special methods, just cold water, go in the cold and once the water doesn't feel so cold you can come out. When it gets warmer it's a signal you've already started burning brown fat tissue for heat. Step 6 - Go out and absorb the daylight for 2-3 minutes. This is a critical step, daylight has a very high intensity compared to indoor lighting and it helps you establish your circadian rhythm. A lot of people heard about blocking blue light in the night using apps such as F.lux but the other thing you need to as well is "ground" yourself in daylight, expose yourself to blue light during the day. Only when you get this contrast effect your body can be synced with the natural circadian rhythm. Those are the 6 simple steps of my morning routine. But that's not all you need to do to be able to wake up early and not feel tired. Of course, it will help and make this better but there are other very critical factors involved. 1 - Get enough sleep. About 7 - 9 hours is required if you're looking for peak performance. If you're training hard like I am going closer to 9 hours is recommended. Here are just a few studies that have looked at the negative effects of sleep deprivation. I know a lot of "life hack" gurus advocate sleeping less to get more things done but the research for this isn't there. In order to do high-quality work you need the brain at its full capacity on your side, and you're sleep deprived it's just not going to happen. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2656292/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12683469 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21075236 2 - Sleep in a dark room with no distractions or noise. Even though my room is pretty dark I still use a sleeping mask and also earplugs. 3 - I eat a high carbohydrate meal 1-2 hours before bed, it helps me sleep better. 4 - Staying active throughout the day, taking walks outside preferably in nature is a MASSIVE help. 5 - Meditation and/or breathing exercises to de-stress and recharge your brain. Bonus: If you drink caffeine it's a good idea to cycle it. Enjoy the vid! Why can't you wake up early for school?
We all know the stereotypes. If you’re up early, you’re a go-getter. If you sleep in, you’re lazy. But how much control do you REALLY have over when you go to bed and when you wake up? And why are teens notorious for sleeping in? SUBSCRIBE to Above the Noise: [https://www.youtube.com/abovethenoise?sub_confirmation=1] ABOVE THE NOISE is a show from PBS Digital Studios and KQED that cuts through the hype and investigates the science behind controversial and trending topics in the news. Hosted by Myles Bess and Shirin Ghaffary. *NEW VIDEOS EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY* In the US, over 80% of public schools start before 8:30AM. Because school starts so early, most students aren’t getting the 8.5 hours of sleep that most doctors recommend. You might think a simple solution is for students to simply go to bed earlier. But in reality, sleep is largely dictated by your genes. Inside all mammals is a tiny region of the brain called the suprachiasmatic nucleus, or the SCN. It’s a bundle of around 20,000 neurons that contains what researchers call CLOCK genes. The SCN is referred to as the body’s master clock, telling the body when to go to sleep and when to wake up. Sleep researchers refer to your body’s preferred sleep pattern as your chronotype. Your chronotype isn’t set in stone for life, though. It actually shifts as you age. The biggest change happens to teenagers. When puberty hits, the master clock experiences a phase shift. Chronotypes slowly get later and later, hitting maximum lateness by around age 18. So it really is tough for teenagers to make it to those early classes. But schools aren’t heeding the research. And the reasons why aren’t all that scientific. Most school schedules revolve around the typical 9 to 5 workday of adults, and so there is a general worry that pushing back when school starts will be too disruptive. And there’s also a worry that delaying school start times will hurt school sports. But, a slew of medical groups -- like the CDC, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics -- all want schools to start BEFORE 8:30am. What is a chronotype? A chronotype is essentially your own, personal body clock. It’s what specific times you prefer to sleep. What are clock genes? Clock genes are what express your particular chronotype. And it looks like good ol' Benny boy was on to something there! Here are the 6 top benefits of getting an early start in the morning. 1. You're Healthier Getting up late can be bad for your health. According to studies, late risers are more susceptible to diabetes, hypertension, and some types of cancer. 2. You Stay Young Longer During the deep sleep phase, a hormone is released that keeps us young for longer. Sleeping too long messes up your sleep cycle. The hormone release is interrupted, thus making you age faster. 3. The Early Bird Catches The Worm Early risers do better in school, especially in foreign language classes and natural science classes. And that's because, at school and work, you are expected to perform well right from the start of the day, which is why early risers are more successful. 4. You're Happier According to studies, early risers are more optimistic, content, and relaxed. They are less likely to suffer from depression and other mental illnesses. 5. You're Better Rested Repeatedly hitting the snooze button causes fragmented sleep. Among other things, this leads to exhaustion and drowsiness. So ditch the snooze button and get out of bed! 6. You're Less Stressed Early risers have more time to plan their day. They're not in a rush, and have time to enjoy a relaxed breakfast. They have more time for family and can kick the day off on a calm note. So are you an early riser or a late riser? Tell us your best sleep tips in the comments & share this video with your friends!

Waking Up Earlier BOOSTS Weight Loss (NEW STUDY)
Waking up at 5am can change your life, but did you know that it can transform your body. The weight loss you experience from having the motivation to workout is just the beginning 🔥 FREE 6 Week Body Transformation Challenge: http://bit.ly/lose-fat14 ☝️☝️☝️ Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2BoFSAy Timestamps: Getting Up Earlier Can Help: 0:15 Making Better Diet Choices: 0:36 BMI’s: 1:32 Start Your Day Off Right: 2:20 You Start To Delay: 3:38 Roadblocks: 4:03 Feel Good Hormones: 4:59 Get Enough Sleep!: 6:38 So we've all heard that getting up earlier can help make you more productive and get more done throughout the day but what if getting up earlier could also help speed up your weight loss. Well it actually can, as unbelievable as it might sound simply getting up earlier could help you burn more fat, get in shape, and stay in shape. And in todays video I want to go over exactly how getting up earlier can help improve your body as well as a couple studies that back this idea up. As most of you already know making changes to your diet is the number one thing you can do to burn fat and improve your body composition. And there's some evidence that suggests that getting up earlier can help you big time with making good decisions with your diet. One study compared almost 1900 people that kept food diaries and tracked their total daily intake of calories, carbs, sugar, fiber, protein, and fat. It also tracked when the participants woke up categorizing certain people into the early bird category and others into the night owl category. And it turned out that people in the night owl category were more likely to make poor decisions with the food they ate than the early risers. Night owls consumed a little bit less calories than early birds before 10 am. Over the course of the day the calories between both groups evened out but the people that woke up later made much poorer food choices than people that got up earlier. This was especially true after 8pm where the late risers consumed much more sugar and fat than early risers did. Another study compared morning and nighttime preferences of people and found that people that woke up later typically had a higher bmi than early risers. BMI is your body mass index which is basically a ratio of your height and weight, and a higher bmi brings you closer to the overweight and obese categories. Now it's important to note that neither of these studies show direct causation, but instead they show correlation between getting up and staying up later and having poor diet habits. A lot of people that wake up later may be getting less overall sleep, they might not care as much about their overall health, and they might be making poor decisions when it comes to exercise. All of these other factors can also lead to eating more junk food and having a higher bmi. This means that it's totally possible for you to get up later and still maintain a healthy diet as well as a healthy bmi, but why do early risers seem to have an easier time doing this. Well lets start with the biggest benefit that getting up earlier provides and that's starting your day off right. I know that might not sound like a big deal, but the way you start your day is actually extremely important. This is why we say things like "You must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed." The truth is that almost all my clients that want to lose weight can't focus all their attention entirely on getting to the gym and eating right. They have other obligations they have kids, they have to cook, and most of all they have a job. Most people have to be at work between 6 in the morning and 9 in the morning at the latest. And most people will set an alarm right before it's time to wake up leaving just enough time to shower brush their teeth and get out the door without preparing a healthy meal to take with them. This increases the chances of them eating something like a trail mix bar or some other fast food choice that sends their blood sugar up and down and causes cravings as well as low energy throughout the day. It also takes all the other responsibilities they have and pushes all of them off till later. Now getting everything done later makes perfect sense in theory because Typically everyones home from work by 5 or 6 o clock so you 🔥 FREE 6 Week Body Transformation Challenge: http://bit.ly/lose-fat14 ☝️☝️☝️ References: Study comparing Morning versus Evening People and their eating habits: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/oby.21747 Morningness-eveningness preference and body mass index https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29653027 Reduce Sleep and Weight Gain: https://academic.oup.com/aje/article/164/10/947/162270 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (sleep study with 9,000 people) https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nhanes/index.htm

Some of those benefits might include: being more productive, focused, motivated, happier etc.. That's complete rubbish and I'll explain why. Getting up early won't make you more focused or productive. In fact, it could actually kill your productivity. Just because some CEO of a company or a navy SEAL wakes up at 4am, it doesn't mean you should wake up at that time as well. Today I'll explain why not everyone is suited to wake up that early, and why it's ok if you don't. Then you can decide for yourself if you want to follow that advice. 6 Amazing Benefits of Waking Up Early at 5 AM
Amazing Benefits of Waking Up Early at 5 AM I recently came across an article in which it claimed that waking up at 5 AM or 4 AM increases productivity for your mind. As we all know A lot of successful people in this world wake up early to get a start on their work. Number 1: I used to start my day by jumping out of my bed and rushing to get myself ready and rushing to get my kids ready and to drop them to their school and come to my work late. As a result I feel tired and sleepy in my work place. So, there is no better way to start off my day than to wake early, in my experience. Number 2: People who wake late miss one of the greatest beauty of nature, the full Sunrise each and every day. People who wake up early can also tend to eat their breakfast on time, while late risers are often rushing out the door and have to grab something unhealthy or they should skip the whole meal altogether. The major problem with skipping breakfast is that it leads to poorer habits later, which makes you tired and you start yawning in the work place. Number 3 Benefits of Waking up Early in the morning : People who wake up early at 5 AM can take advantage of the morning hours to give their skin some extra benefits and care. Because After a night of restless sleep our skin become dull in the morning. Similar to the fact, people who get up later in the day, tend to focus less on healthy diet and morning habits such as hydrating their skin, exercise, which organize blood vessels and promotes a healthy skin. Early morning risers can also use the extra time to exfoliate their skin and cleanse. People who wake up early also have regular sleeping habits which ensures that your skin gets proper time to rejuvenate. Number 4 Time to Exercise: Many people enjoy an after work gym session but they also admit to missing a fair number of workouts because of the busy commitments at the office or with their family. Because When we do exercise in the morning, were less likely to have an excuse. Plus, we’ll find that our morning workout will keep us energized all day long. Number 5: If we start our days early then it improves your concentration. In addition to being able to focus on our goals and task lists without any interruption by family members or coworkers. Getting up early means you’ve had hours to properly accumulate yourself to the day. You’ll be more alert of your work during peak hours. Number 6: By waking up early will make it easier to go to sleep and wake up naturally at the same time each and every night. This is important for your body’s internal system because If you go to bed late and wake up late at the same time on the weekends, it’s harder for your body to adjust. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reporter : Mithila Nawar Editor: Jubayer Follow us on 👉 Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/NaturalBeautyhacks1/ Follow us on 👉 Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/naturalbeautyhacks11/ Follow us on 👉Twitter : https://twitter.com/NSectrets If you like this video then please hit thumbs up and subscribe . Learn how to stop hitting the snooze button. In this video, I discuss strategies to help your body wake up and increase alertness in the morning. 1) Increase morning light - more light in your bedroom in the morning helps burn off melatonin (the sleepy hormone). Try a sunrise/sunset alarm clock that gradually increases light in the room in the mornings. 2) Support cortisol production - Cortisol is known as the stress hormone, but you need appropriate amounts to wake up and remain alert. Constant stress can deplete your cortisol levels. Supplement with vitamin C, vitamin B5, and adrenal cortex in the morning with breakfast (supplements should be used temporarily--only while you need it.) 3) Support ATP (the body's fuel source) production - consider an NADH supplement. NOTE: Fatigue and inability to wake up can be caused by a medical condition like hypothyroidism among others. Work with your doctor to make sure these strategies are right for you. Benefits of Waking Up Early
Well, here’s a controversial post. I have had many debates with people about the value of getting up an hour earlier to start the day. So many people hate when the alarm goes off because they have to leave the comfort of their bed and hit the ground running. I stress that getting up an hour earlier has two major benefits: (1) You have more time to casually prepare for the day instead of rushing and; (2) you are far more creative. I have been an early riser all of my life. When I was working on my degrees I found the mornings the best time to organize my thoughts and prepare for classes and class assignments. I have done ALL of my blog and book writing in the early morning hours. I have asked countless authors and bloggers when they typically write. The overwhelming majority tell me they are most creative in the early part of the day. In a recent poll, some 1,000 U.S. adults were asked when they’re at their best on a typical day. Waking up Feeling Tired caused by Adrenal Fatigue
Have you every woken up in the morning after a night's rest still feeling unrefreshed, tired, fatigued, not quite yourself? This is very common in adrenal fatigue and we will explore why. https://www.drlam.com/blog/are-you-still-tired-after-sleeping-eight-hours-each-night/21340 This is Dr.Lam, founder of Drlam.com. You know, sleep is such an important component of our daily life. Without a good night's rest, it's almost impossible to get full regenerative properties. Sleep not only allows us to rest, but that's the time that the body cleanses itself of metabolites. The body's organs also need to rest even though it may not come to a complete stop, so a proper rest in the evening has tremendous revitalizing factors. When you wake up unrefreshed, several things may be going on. Number 1, you never get the deep sleep that you need so the body is still hungry for better rest. Number 2, your metabolic by-products are building up and it's not getting out of your body fast enough, accumulating and therefore the toxic buildup can be to such a point overnight that it becomes very problematic for your body to handle. Number 3, your cortisol level, which is responsible to help you to wake up in the morning, and it rises around 4, 5 o'clock starting to do so, in order for you to wake up at 6, 7 o'clock. If that curve or that spike does not happen, then you're not going to be able to wake up refreshed. A lot of people have low cortisol in the morning and they feel terrible when they wake up and they only slowly get better during the day as the cortisol level starts to pick up. So there are many factors as to why you may not wake up what we called refreshed. Obviously you need to check with your doctor to see if everything is fine. But normally speaking, most of the labs are going to be normal, and even sleep studies may show that you have some kind of obstruction and you may be given CPAP and different types of machines. But they usually don't help too much in the sense of when it's associated with adrenal fatigue. Because when you have adrenal fatigue, especially in later stages, the body is always in the alert mode, so it's keeping you from going to the deep sleep that you require. You may be laying there, but you'd be so much tossing and turning and frequent awakenings that you never had the chance to go into the deep restorative mode. As a result when you get up in the morning, you simply are not getting the restful sleep that a normal person gets when they have a continuous and uninterrupted sleep. So when you wake up in the morning and feel unrefreshed, the first thing you should ask is why. You need to trace back: do you have diabetes that could possibly cause this? Do you have a metabolic buildup sugar imbalances that cause you to wake up many times at night? Do you have to go to the bathroom because of, in the case of male and female, prostate issues, on the case of female, urinary issues or bladder issues. All these things have to be ruled out, but if all these things turns out normal, and you still have no explanation, then do think about adrenal fatigue. If it's a common occurrence, and the interesting thing is it's a symptom and not a disease. So that's the good news, now when you have your adrenals that is improving over time, then oftentimes people will report a better sense of sleep and more refreshed situation when they wake up in the morning. This freshness is very very surprising in that it's almost like spring has arrived and you know you wake up and you feel fresh as compared to when you wake up and you still feel draggy and you need coffee and other stimulants to get you going. So, knowing and being sensitive to your body and being in tune with how you feel in the morning is an important indirect symptom of how well your adrenals are functioning. So do pay attention to this subtle sign that is important. ----- Could you have Adrenal Fatigue? Learn the real signs and symptoms: 1. Why You Should Wake Up at 4:30 AM Every Day, According To A Navy SEAL
With a busy schedule, Jocko Willink finds time to get everything done by waking up before everyone else does. Willink, former Navy SEAL and author of "Way of the Warrior Kid" explains the one habit from service that he can't shake. For the full interview, search for "Success! How I Did It" on Apple Podcasts or your favorite app. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/success-how-i-did-it/id1205997729?mt=2  Business Insider tells you all you need to know about business, finance, tech, science, retail, and more. Subscribe to our channel and visit us at: http://www.businessinsider.com/ BI on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/businessinsider/ BI on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/businessinsider/ BI on Twitter: https://twitter.com/businessinsider -------------------------------------------------- Following is a transcript of the video: Richard Feloni: Are there some things from your service that you can't shake? So for example, you still wake up at 4:30 in the morning, to go workout, what was it about your time in the Seals, that you wanted to keep these habits up? Jocko Willink: They're good habits, why would you not wake up at 4:30? Richard Feloni: Well what does this bring to you? Jocko Willink: Waking up early? You just get a jump on the day. The reason I wake up at 4:30 in the morning is because no one else is awake yet, so that gives me the opportunity to do things that I need to get done, kinda selfishly for myself, and the big one in that category is working out. And it doesn't feel good at 4:30 when you get up, but by the time 7 o'clock rolls around, and you've already worked out, and you've already got some work done, and you've got some time to say goodbye to your kids before they go to school? It's infinitely better than sleeping in until 6:45, and you get out of bed, and now you've missed your kids going to school, or whatever. You're not prepared for the day, it's awful. Feloni: So if someone, maybe they don't have time to work out or they just need something that could be like a quick fix, is there something that you recommend? Willink: Oh yeah, workouts don't have to take a long time. Workouts can be very quick. Matter of fact, go do two minutes of burpees, as many burpees as you can, in two minutes, or four minutes, or six minutes, go and sprint, go and do anything very intensely, for a short period of time and you'll get great benefit out of it. Feloni: Something I'm sure you hear a lot is 4:30, like this either just can't fit into my schedule, or if I'm gonna be realistic, I'm probably not gonna wake up at 4:30, what do you tell people who say that? Willink: Yeah, and there's people that work night shifts, and there's people that it's unhealthy for them, they can't fall as-- it's like no, be healthy, get enough sleep, but, first of all, wake up at the same time every day and, if you pick that time and you start waking up at the same time every day, that's very good for you. It doesn't have to be 4:30, it could be 6:30, it could be 7, I don't know what your personal schedule is, but find out a time, pick it, set it, stick to it, and maintain that schedule, and that's gonna end up better for you. I recommend it's earlier. I recommend that you go to bed earlier, 'cause what are you doing at night, most of the time? Most of the time at night, you're not working on anything super productive, you're just winding down and watching stupid YouTube videos, or surfing the internet, reading clickbait stories, right? Don't do that, instead, go to sleep, and then wake up early. Feloni: Could you explain that notion of discipline equals freedom? Willink: If you want more freedom in your life, you have to have more discipline. If you don't have any discipline, you'll end up with absolutely no freedom, you'll end up being a slave to other people that boss you around. There's all kind of problems that can occur, if you don't have discipline in your life. And the more discipline you have, the more freedom you're gonna have. Feloni: So just the discipline of the Seals, will never-- it's impossible to leave? Willink: No, it's possible to leave, there's retired seals all over the place that are undisciplined. They've moved on, and they don't care about that anymore. It's fine, I don't judge other people on what they're doin', like they're probably stoked to sleep in and hang out with their kids, and eat breakfast in bed, that's fine. I don't have anything against that. But for me? I wanna get up and go.

Do You Often Wake Up Between 3 AM and 5 AM? Here Is What It Means
Do you often wake up between 3 am - 5 am? If you wake up at the same time every night, it could be because your body is trying to send you a message. Yes, there is anecdotal evidence stating that waking up at certain times during the night is actually a symptom of something spiritual. But, according to the ancient Chinese Medicine Body Clock, energy runs through a different meridian of your body at different times of day. These meridians are like channels which send energy to different organs in order to promote health and vitality. When there is a blockage in these channels however, energy cannot pass through, causing stagnation or a buildup of energy. This can then disturb your sleep and wake you up. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) if you wake up at the same time every night, it could indicate a sign of weakness in the corresponding meridian or organ. The body, mind and emotions are inseparable in TCM - meaning that if you have disharmony in your physical body, it is tied to your emotional state. For example, if you often wake up between 3 am - 5 am, it’s a sign that energies in that very corresponding part of your body are blocked and weak due to your neglect. In this video, we outline the organs and emotions associated with different times during the night. You will gain some insight into why you might be waking up at a certain hour and what you should do about it! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Music: Epidemic Sound Visuals: VideoBlocks / Adobe Stock / Pexels / Pixabay / Other Voice-over Recording, Audio & Video Production by Brainy Dose ------------------------------------------------------------------

Tips For Waking Up And Bicycle Commuting In The Morning Bike Blogger
Waking up early in the morning to bicycle commute to work can be discouraging sometimes. Here are some tips on how to wake up in the morning and stay motivated when you feel too tired and sleepy: * Drink and/or eat something easy. A banana may be all you need to boost your energy in the morning. * Take a shower and do some stretches to warm up and wake up your body. * Go to sleep early. Sometimes managing time may be not be easy so if you find yourself always getting to bed late you might consider "over estimating" how long it will take you to get there. * Plan your route ahead of time so you know where to go and what to expect during the hours you will commute. Consider also mixing up your route to keep things interesting. * Lay out your clothes and pack your equipment the night before so you can just grab them and go out the door without stressing yourself out. Check the weather the night before too. * Inspect your bike the night before to make sure the tires are pumped up to the proper air pressure, the brakes are working, and the chain is in good shape. This is called the ABC check; air-brakes-chain (or drivetrain). * Ride a bike you like and trust * Ride with a coworker or friend if you are so lucky to have one nearby that rides and/or encourage them to join part of your commute. * Track your progress and give yourself a little reward like a small bike upgrade at every milestone you pass like riding for 30 days in a row Other tips for those new to bicycle commuting: * Figure out how you will carry your things like in a backpack or pannier * Identify where you will lock your bike (if you will not be bringing it into work) and where you can change clothes or clean up once you get to work. * Keep some items at work in case of emergencies like extra clothes, tools, personal care items etc. if you can, in a desk or in a locker. * Leave for work earlier than you expect it will take to get there so you do not worry about getting in late, fixing a flat tire, and/or having to change clothes etc. The big battle is getting on the bike, but once you do you'll wake up for sure and feel refreshed physically as well as mentally when you arrive to work, and sleep better at night for it. 10 Morning Habits That Can Ruin Your Day
Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Perhaps it’s because you’re guzzling down a bunch of coffee or jumping in a hot shower right after you wake up? Or maybe when you first open your eyes in the morning, you can’t fight the urge to see what’s new on social media? These may not be the best ways to start your morning. Old habits die hard, that’s why we do some things without even thinking about how harmful they are — especially in the morning when we don’t have time to spare. So today, Bright Side wants to talk about ten things many of us do every morning that are actually harmful to us. You’ll learn how to make your morning and the day that follows better than they ever were before. That’s because when you fall back asleep in between alarms, you enter into a new sleep cycle without completing it. This makes you feel even more groggy and disoriented than you did when you awoke to your first alarm. - While this is a very common morning habit for most of us, looking at your phone right after you open your eyes can cause you to feel unnecessary stress and anxiety before you even get up to brush your teeth! - While there isn’t anything wrong with enjoying a steaming cup o’ joe in the morning, this shouldn’t be the first thing you sip on after waking up. - By making your bed every morning, you’re completing a healthy ritual that will carry on into your day. You’ll be more productive and motivated to tackle the day ahead! - Opt for a protein-rich breakfast. This will keep you fuller for longer and, it’ll give you long-lasting energy to keep you productive and focused all day long! - According to life coach Kirkland Shave, natural sunlight releases cortisol in the body, which helps you concentrate and make smart decisions throughout the day. - Don’t do any strenuous exercising or stretching first thing in the morning, though. You can hurt yourself since your muscles and discs aren’t warmed up yet. - Brushing your teeth after breakfast may do more harm than good. You see, if you’ve consumed something acidic like coffee or fruit, that acid thins the enamel of your teeth. So, brushing them right after can wear away that weakened enamel. - People need time to wake up and get their bearings before they can think about important things to talk about on the phone. It’s best to wait until about 9:30am to start making phone calls. - The cold makes your brain release feel-good endorphins and natural adrenaline. If you can’t stomach a cold shower, at least take a lukewarm one. Getting Up Early In The Morning Is Not A Hassle Anymore! These Ayurvedic Tips Can Help You
The best method of losing weight: http://bit.ly/2VcMD4p Do you find it hard enough to wake up in the morning, even though you wish to do so? Don’t worry! You’re not the only one facing this problem. Most of us experience difficulty in getting up early, and this is because of our tight schedules, improper and disturbed sleep, unhealthy food, and many other factors. For the perfect solution for this problem, if you refer to any Ayurvedic book, the first tip that it will give you is to wake up during Brahma Muhurtha, which is around 45 minutes before sunrise. This helps in synchronizing your body with the rhythm of the sun. How To Wake Up Early In The Morning Mentioned below are a few Ayurvedic tips that might help you wake up early in the morning and feel fresh: 1. Switch Off All Gadgets Before You Go To Sleep. Gadgets such as mobile phones, tabs or laptops, and even TV are the biggest obstacles that might stop you from getting up early in the morning. They cause a delay in your sleeping time, and if you sleep late, obviously, you won’t be able to get up early in the morning. Try to switch them off before you go to sleep. 2. Have A Light Dinner. Avoid having a heavy dinner. Oily food or sweets will make you feel heavy and lazy. A light stomach will help you get up early in the morning and also make you feel light. 3. Drink A Glass Of Water Before Sleeping. Though it’s not suggested to drink a lot of water before sleeping and during sleep, a glass of water will cause no harm. Instead, this will make your bladder function and will force you to wake up early with an urge to urinate. However, if you’re diabetic, or suffer from frequent urination problem, skip this tip. 4. Do Not Keep The Alarm Close To Your Bed. The best way to wake up in the morning is not to keep your alarm close to your bed. Doing so will prevent you from hitting the snooze button and going back to sleep. You will have to get up to turn off your alarm. 5. Take A Bath With Cold Water. A cold water bath will awaken your senses, make you more alert, and increase your concentration. 6. Once You Wake Up, Do Not Stay On Your Bed. Staying on the bed even after waking up might put you back to sleep. So avoid making excuses to stay in bed and get away from it as soon as possible. 7. Do Not Aim For Something Unreasonable. Be Realistic. This refers to the time you used to get up earlier, and the time you wish to wake up now. For example, if you generally wake up at 7 am, do not aim to get up at 5 am immediately. Start slowly. You can first start aiming at getting up by 6:15 am, then 5:30 am, and so on. 8. Be Strict With Your Target. Though initially, it takes some time to adjust to the timings, do not compromise because once you disturb the cycle, it eventually becomes a habit. 9. Know The Benefits Of Getting Up Early. This tip is the most effective one because once you know the benefits of something, it motivates you more to achieve your target. Thus, learn more about the benefits of getting up early in the morning, and how it is beneficial for a healthy body and mind. 10. Believe In Yourself. Quite often, we’re unable to achieve the things we wish for, and the reason for this failure is a lack of confidence in ourselves. You should understand that nothing is impossible, and getting up early is not at all a difficult task. Yes, you might find it a bit difficult initial... full article: https://stylecraze.com/articles/wake-up-early-with-these-ayurvedic-tips/
