10 Foods You Should Never Eat

10:45
We know some products are really dangerous for our health, and other products are good for us as they are healthy. It turns out it’s not so simple and some of the most promoted and popular foods can, in fact, harm you. Never eat these 10 dangerous foods for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. Even if you see the juice labels “not from concentrate” or “100% pure”, don't let this fool you. Juice, after being squeezed from different fruits, is kept in huge vacuum-sealed tanks where it can sit for up to a year before being packaged! And by that time, the juice has lost all its flavor, which is why manufacturers have to add artificial flavoring to make it taste fruity again. In most cases, cereals are loaded with refined carbohydrates and sugar. Even if the label assures you that it's fat-free and whole grain, check the list of ingredients. You'll most likely see that the product is full of sugar. Despite common belief, most yogurts don't contain probiotic bacteria since the process of pasteurization kills all these microorganisms. When consumed, trans-fats in ice-cream can cause high cholesterol, stroke, heart disease, and even cancer. Ice cream is also loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and synthetic preservatives. And if it’s pink, purple, or red, it’s most likely been colored with cochineal extract or carmine, additives which can cause bad allergic reactions. Popcorn has some genetically modified ingredients as well as taste-boosting chemicals and additives. This leads to health problems such as heart attacks, digestive issues, allergies, skin rashes, breathing problems, and the depressing list goes on. Even more, popcorn is extremely caloric. Music: Vibe Mountain - Great Hope The 126ers - Reversed Eclipse Rondo Brothers - Yellow Gold Kevin MacLeod - Jay Jay Silent Partner - Pink Lemonade https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Fruit juices 0:37 Energy bars 1:42 Cereal 2:31 Margarine 3:21 Low-fat yogurt 4:11 Ice cream 5:01 Eggs 6:07 Microwave popcorn 7:09 Sugar-free candy 8:32 Diet soda 9:26 SUMMARY -Store-bought juices may contain some real fruit, but most of their content is water, sugar, and artificial flavoring. -Protein bars and energy bars alike are usually processed products containing sugar, artificial flavors and sweeteners. -Breakfast cereals typically contain a teeny tiny amount of whole grains, which allows producers to mark their product as healthy, but they also contain unhealthy sugar. -Margarine is typically made from industrial vegetable oils hydrogenated to become solid, a process that significantly increases the oils’ trans-fat content. -Manufacturers load “low-fat” yogurts with sugar to make up for the lack of taste usually provided by the natural fats. -Instead of pure milk or cream, manufacturers use cheaper hydrogenated fats such as palm- or coconut oil to produce ice-cream. These oils, when heated, become nothing more than trans-fats. -One egg contains as much cholesterol as a big greasy burger. -Microwave popcorn’s almost always lined with the same toxic substance you can find in Teflon pans. -If candy doesn’t contain sugar, it contains artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, and saccharine. These substances are chemically processed and may cause some serious side effects. -Artificial sweeteners in diet soda can easily lead to weight gain as they trigger the production of insulin, which makes your body store fat. Pretty much all of them are filled with good calories, protein, and healthy fats. - Simple dried fruits like pineapples, cherries, or apples can do a good job at gaining you some muscle mass too! 6 High Estrogen Foods MEN SHOULD AVOID!

11:44
These are 6 High Very Estrogen Foods ALL Men Should Avoid to build muscle, lose weight, and get lean. Some foods should be limited and others should be completely avoided. Instead of increasing estrogen most men want to learn how to increase testosterone naturally & fast. By learning how to decrease estrogen levels, weight loss becomes much easier. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=plug Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2S5ltXi The next food that you'll want to limit to keep your estrogen levels down is wheat and grain based products. These foods are extremely high in a type of xenoestrogen known as zearalenone or ZEA. ZEA is molecularly similar to estrogen and acts like estrogen in the body. One study examined the effect that ZEAs had on a drug called Letrozole, which is specifically designed to lower estrogen levels in the body. Bodybuilders will often take it get to really low levels of body fat. The researchers found that, even small amounts of ZEA negated the effects of Letrozole. That’s a powerful indicator of the estrogen boosting effect of all those ZEA’s that are found in wheat and grain products. As well as the ZEA problem, wheat also contains phytoestrogens. They’re found in the wheat germ which is the reproductive part of the wheat seed. These phytoestrogens will bind to estrogen receptor sites in your body’s cells. In a study that was designed to investigate the combined effect of wheat germ and a breast cancer treatment pharmaceutical it was noted that one of the side effects of wheat germ was that it increased estrogen receptor activity of MCF-7 cells. However, refined grain products remove the germ, making them slightly less of a problem when it comes to estrogen. Overall though, you should limit your consumption of wheat and grain based products. Our third estrogen food type to avoid is processed carbs and refined sugars. Hopefully, you’ve already cut back on these types of foods if you're trying to bring your body fat levels down. But there’s an extra reason to ditch these types of carbs. And it has to do with that powerful blood sugar regulating hormone, insulin. As well as causing you to store more body fat, insulin lowers your body’s levels of what is known as sex hormone binding globulin. The job of this globulin is to bind the two sex hormones, testosterone and estrogen, together. When it's doing its job properly, you will have limited amounts of free estrogen in your body. But, when it's stopped from doing its job, the opposite will be the case, your free estrogen levels will be much higher. It’s the insulin response that occurs when you eat refined sugar foods that causes the interference in the activity of sex hormone binding globulin. An interesting study that focused on women showed that drinking sugar laden sodas increased estrogen levels. The interesting thing was that increased estrogen levels did not occur with either diet sodas or fruit juices. Researchers believe this is due to the fact that diet sodas don’t contain refined sugar and fruit juice contains natural fruit sugars. Another estrogen related problem with sugar consumption is that, eating too much sugar leads to an increase in stored body fat. Fat cells excrete estrogen. So, the more fat cells that you have sitting around your body, the more estrogen you’ll have floating around as well. This is additional to the estrogen produced by the endocrine system. So, rather than reaching for a sweet sugar saturated treat, do your estrogen levels a favor and opt for foods that are high in proteins, fiber and healthy fats. Our fourth no go food for estrogen is beer. I know, this is a tough one. Now, I’m not saying you can’t drink it at all, but if you want to get really lean and maximize your muscle mass and strength, then you gotta’ cut back on the booze. Here’s why. As you know beer contains hops. But what are hops? Well, they're actually the female part of the hop plant. They’re a preservative that has been added to beer for hundreds of years. It’s one of just three ingredients that are found in most beers – the other two being water and barley.... 11 Popular Food Combinations That Damage Your Health

10:06
How to Eat Healthy. When we need to make dinner or grab a quick snack, we often combine food without thinking much about it. But some popular food combinations can seriously affect your body and even lead to health problems. Let’s see which food combos you must avoid and what to replace them with for the sake of your own health and the health of your loved ones. TIMESTAMPS Muffin and orange juice 0:40 Meat and cheese 1:29 Eggs and fish 2:23 Cellulose and spinach 3:26 Tea and yeast dough 4:15 Yogurt and kiwi 4:54 Melon and milk 5:35 Pizza and soda 6:16 Wine and cake 7:09 Fruit with vegetables 8:00 Burger and fries 8:45 Muffin and orange juice 0:40 Some breakfasts leave you with no energy instead of helping you to kickstart your day, and a muffin with orange juice is one of them. This combination contains no protein or cellulose — just a huge amount of carbohydrates. This makes your blood sugar level soar and then dramatically decrease. Moreover, your work efficiency and stamina will also decrease. So instead of putting these 2 together, try another breakfast combo: a wholegrain muffin and some natural yogurt. Meat and cheese 1:29 Cheese contains calcium, and meat contains iron and zinc. When combined, calcium slows down the absorption of both zinc and iron, so our digestive system can't get all the proper nutrients from these products. It's better to make sure that cheese and meat aren't on the list of ingredients for your meal. Instead, combine meat with Bulgarian pepper or cabbage as the vitamin C they contain aids iron absorption. Tea and yeast dough 4:15 Tasty croissants or buns with a cup of tea can easily result in an unpleasant feeling of heaviness in your stomach and even fermentation in your gut. This happens because tea contains tannins, which make it harder for certain elements and nutrients (including iron and vitamin B1) to be absorbed, and this can hurt your nervous system. The answer is to consume tannins and caffeine-rich beverages at least an hour after your meal. Pizza and soda 6:16 Most pizzas contain cheese, which, when accompanied with cold beverages, can cause indigestion. The carbs, starch, and protein in pizza don't aid digestion either. And pizza isn't the only guilty component in this combo! The sugar in soda also slows down your digestion. Consider all of these processes happening at the same time. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Muffin and orange juice combination contains no protein or cellulose — just a huge amount of carbohydrates. This makes your blood sugar level soar and then dramatically decrease. -Cheese contains calcium, and meat contains iron and zinc. When combined, calcium slows down the absorption of both zinc and iron, so our digestive system can't get all the proper nutrients from these products. -If you put eggs together with fish, you can forget about any of their health benefits. -Whole grains contain cellulose, which, when put together with the oxalic acid in greens, blocks the absorption of calcium. -Tea contains tannins, which make it harder for certain elements and nutrients (including iron and vitamin B1) to be absorbed, and this can hurt your nervous system. -The enzymes in kiwis lead to the accelerated decomposition of milk proteins. That's why natural milk often tastes a little bitter with kiwi products. -In an acidic environment, milk tends to clot into a hard-to-digest mass. Worse still, a melon milkshake is one of the most effective ways to upset your stomach. -Most pizzas contain cheese, which, when accompanied with cold beverages, can cause indigestion. -Alcohol massively influences your blood sugar level and increases insulin production. That's why the sugar from your dessert quickly turns into fat on your belly and thighs. -Fruit and vegetables digest differently and thus shouldn’t be eaten together. -Burger and fries combo contains a huge amount of trans fat, which can lead to cholesterol problems and heart-related diseases. 10 FOODS TO AVOID FOR A FLAT BELLY

How to get a flat stomach? We all want to have it, but do you know that abdominal fat is the most difficult to deal with? You work out, you try to adopt healthy diet habits, but you don’t see visible results in the mirror. Stubborn belly fat is still there, and it seems that it doesn’t plan to go anywhere. If this sounds familiar to you, we at Bright Side want you to know more about the foods that stand in the way of the perfect belly you’ve always wanted. Plus, gum triggers the overproduction of stomach acid, and, as a result, you feel hungry. - High-sodium foods are really harmful to your health, and they also retain fluids that prevent you from losing belly fat. Adopt a low-sodium diet, and your body will thank you for this. - It’s no secret that fast food contains too many calories that may bring various health problems from heart diseases to cancer. - Some alcoholic drinks are rich in calories, but calories are not the main factor here. Alcohol consumption increases your appetite and confuses the part of your brain that is responsible for the feeling of fullness. - Cola, soda, tonic… We hear this all the time, but it’s still so hard to give up this habit. These drinks contain carbonation, which draws gas into your stomach and intestines. - If you’re a fan of mayonnaise and mayonnaise-based salads, then you should know that this dressing contains at least 80% fat. - As much as you love this food, you should give it up as soon as possible! Fried potatoes, just like any other fried foods, work like a sponge that absorbs saturated fats. - Foods rich in sugar inevitably turn into abdominal fat, that is the most harmful fat in your body. - Foods that contain sugar substitutes such as polyalcohols, for example, are only effective for people with diabetes. These sugar-free products can still harm your body and make your stomach bigger. This plant can improve your digestion and overall health. - There are only 10 calories in 2 cups of arugula. It helps you get slimmer without damaging your health. - Scientists found that eggs keep you feeling full for longer periods than foods that contain more carbs. Mix the whites with a few tomatoes and get the healthiest omelet ever! - Salad is packed with vitamins A and C as well as folic acid and iron. It’s practically devoid of calories (10 to 20 calories, depending on the type). - Fresh, crunchy cucumbers have significant health benefits. The skin of a cucumber contains most of its nutritional value, particularly beta-carotene, which is good for your eyes. - Cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamins C and K. Also, it contains only 25 calories. - One tomato has about 25 calories. Tomatoes are full of lycopene, vitamins A, C, and B2, folic acid, fiber, chromium, and potassium.  - Broccoli contains 31 calories, and it is one of the favorite foods of those who want to lose weight. - Oranges are one of the most delicious fruits. It has about 32 calories. - Sugar snap peas are very low in calories: a cup of peas contains around 35 calories. - Grapefruits help to stabilize blood sugar levels. They’re full of vitamin C, and, due to their low caloric value, they can help you reduce those extra inches around your waist. - Melon contains over half the recommended daily value of vitamins A and C and only 55 calories. Melon is also very useful for preventing flu and improving the immune system. - Strawberries are rich in potassium and fiber and have an anti-inflammatory effect. It sounds surprising, but a couple of strawberries contain as much vitamin C as an orange. - Blackberries are full of antioxidants and vitamin C. Also, they have an amazing taste. - One cup of air-popped popcorn will never affect your body. This “movie snack” mostly consists of air, and you can enjoy eating it without fear of gaining extra weight. - Blueberries have more antioxidants than any other fruit. Therefore, a cup of blueberries will help you balance your diet.  What helps you control your weight and stay in shape? 4 Types of Toxic Cookware to Avoid and 4 Safe Alternatives

09:18
We all know the importance of eating healthy, but not everyone knows that the cookware you use to prepare your dishes is just as important as the food itself. Even the healthiest diet can result in severe health problems if your pots and pans are toxic. Find out which cookware you should avoid by all means for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. The non-stick properties of Teflon cookware are achieved with a coating of PTFE. This is a plastic polymer that, when heated above 572°F, starts to release toxins. These toxic fumes lead to flu-like symptoms called polymer fume fever, informally known as Teflon flu. Another chemical compound found in Teflon cookware is especially threatening since it tends to stay in the body (as well as in the environment) for long periods of time. Try cast-iron cookware instead. It even comes in non-stick varieties. It doesn't leak anything toxic into your food and is actually a nice natural way to increase your body’s iron levels. Though aluminum cookware is usually coated, the coating is prone to chipping, allowing the toxic metal to get right into your food. As for aluminum foil, using it while cooking is even more dangerous. In fact, there’s an established safe amount of aluminum the human body can manage daily, and that’s 20 mg per pound of body weight a day. When you wrap your food in aluminum foil and cook it this way, the amount of this substance that leaks into the food significantly exceeds the permissible level. Consider using glass cookware instead. If you’ve just enjoyed some fish in lemon juice or stewed tomatoes cooked in an uncoated copper pot and you find yourself suffering from extremely unpleasant symptoms (such as vomiting blood, light-headedness, yellowy skin, or gastrointestinal distress, among others) call 911 immediately. Try this safe alternative instead: stainless steel. Just make sure you're buying food-grade stainless steel since this is the only type that doesn't contain any nickel or chromium. Soft ceramic coating isn't durable enough and starts chipping after a few months of daily use. When this happens, lead and cadmium sometimes found in the coating will end up in your food and, thus, in your body. Lead poisoning is one of the most dangerous types of metal poisoning and can result in abdominal pain, headaches, infertility, and other health complications. Try this safe alternative instead: 100% ceramic cookware. TIMESTAMPS Teflon cookware 0:38 Aluminum cookware and aluminum foil 3:31 Copper cookware 5:12 Ceramic-coated cookware 6:54 SUMMARY -Teflon contains plastic polymer that, when heated above 572°F, starts to release toxins. Try this safe alternative instead: real cast-iron. This is a nontoxic cooking option that truly withstands the test of time. It heats well and evenly throughout. -Aluminum is a neurotoxic metal. Elevated levels of aluminum in the body have been linked to several central nervous system diseases, including Alzheimer's and ALS. Try this safe alternative instead: glass cookware. It’ll never release anything toxic when heated, it doesn’t hold onto any old flavors or odors, and it's not only durable but also eco-friendly. -Copper cookware, especially when it isn’t coated, can easily send you to the ER with a bad case of metal poisoning. And that’s because it can release copper when you cook acidic foods. Stainless steel is a great cookware option: it's relatively lightweight, scratch-resistant, and comes in non-stick varieties. -Soft ceramic coating isn't durable enough and starts chipping after a few months of daily use. When this happens, lead and cadmium sometimes found in the coating will end up in your food and, thus, in your body. Try this safe alternative instead: 100% ceramic cookware. This is one of the best and safest options out there since it's made with completely natural materials, it isn't toxic, and it won't chip or peel off. Here are 15 food products that can take care of your heart and prevent heart diseases. Our heart is one of the most important organs, but, surprisingly, we take care of it the least, loading it every day with stress and unhealthy diets. And that's too bad because fatty food increases cholesterol levels, which leads to vascular plaques that prevent the heart from working correctly. In this video, you will get familiar with 15 products that perform all these activities! Some of them might surprise you with their health benefits! Watch till the end - as a bonus, you will find a recipe for a special drink for healthy blood vessels. And remember to press the like button in appreciation of our work! It also boosts metabolism and helps you to lose weight. - Watermelon plays an important role in vascular health. It stabilizes the cholesterol levels and contains antioxidants. It provides hydration, which is a great thing for your body. - Garlic dilates the vessels, lowers blood pressure, alleviates vasoconstriction, and prevents atherosclerotic plaques from appearing. 3 Ways to Gain Healthy Weight for Skinny People

07:52
We collected a few simple tips on how to gain healthy weight naturally and fast without pills or hard work! There is so much information about weight loss, but how do you act to achieve the opposite? The basic principles are the same for losing and gaining extra weight. Are you a "hard gainer" or just want to build up lean muscles? TIMESTAMPS Change your diet 1:05 Eat more protein-rich foods 2:28 Always carry a healthy snack 3:20 Diet on vegs and fruits 3:42 Build your muscles 4:34 Stay motivated 6:20 SUMMARY - Since our body composition is 80% diet, we should not ignore the cruсial role of food in a weight gain struggle. An average person needs around 3500 calories to gain a pound. You need an extra 500 calories a day if you want to put on extra weight in a week. - Protein is the key for muscle building; it will help you gain muscle weight rather than fat mass. Good sources of protein are red meat and poultry, eggs, whole grains. Salmon is high in calories and healthy fats. Yogurt is high in protein too. - Olives and cheese are great when you want something fresh and new. Carry energy-dense snacks to fill your hunger when you're out. - Choose avocado, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and corn. Fruits like bananas, blueberries, grapes, and mangoes can give you calories and fiber. - Eat as much as you want, but avoid feeling bloated and extra-full. For a hard gainer, eating 5-6 times a day should be enough. Remember to make your portions smaller and diverse. Eat one small snack one hour before bed; it will help you gain weight. - The basis of your training should consist of squats, deadlifts, presses, and push-ups. These train multiple muscles and familiar to all. If you see the progress in weight gain in a week or two, feel free to add in other exercises. Cardio strengthens your heart and burns chubby belly fat. - As soon as this thought was planted, it grows and develops to become a reality and put you into action. So, please, don't underestimate the power of an idea. Be strongly committed to what you started and remember why you did. We advise you track your success. 10 Ordinary Foods That Might Harm Your Pet

10:29
How to Keep Your Pet Healthy. You can choose and plan your own diet, but your pet doesn’t have that luxury, and it eats whatever you’re giving it. Even if you only want the best for your pet, you’re likely to make some common mistakes and feed it some foods that are dangerous for its health and can even kill it. How to avoid food poisoning in your pet? Onion and garlic, for example, have a chemical in them that destroys an animal's red blood cells, causing anemia, which, in severe cases, can do serious damage to the internal organs. Bones are a great source of minerals and nutrients for your canine companion, but poultry bones, like chicken or turkey, as well as pork bones and any cooked bones are strictly forbidden. The same goes for coffee, chocolate, ice cream, and tomatoes. TIMESTAMPS Never feed your dog onion and garlic 0:39 Why lilies are dangerous for your pet 1:38 How avocados can be bad for your pet 2:53 Why you should never feed your pet coffee and chocolates 3:40 How bones can be dangerous for your dog 4:45 Why apples are dangerous for your pet 6:15 Never feed your pet tomatoes 7:00 How raw eggs can harm your pet 7:43 Why grapes and raisins are bad for your pet 8:30 Why you should never feed your pet ice cream 9:10 Music: Action Time - Biz Baz Studio https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Plants and vegetables in the onion family contain propyl disulfide. This chemical destroys an animal's red blood cells, causing anemia, which, in severe cases, can do serious damage to the internal organs. -Lilies are extremely toxic to animals and can destroy their kidneys if consumed. -Avocados contain a fungicidal toxin called persin. According to the Pet Poison Helpline, it has a mild level of toxicity, only targeting certain species. -Caffeine can be anywhere from moderately to severely toxic to an animal. It can cause elevated heart rate and body temperature, excessive urination, dehydration, tremors, seizures, and possibly death. Chocolate has its fair share of awful consequences too, especially dark chocolate since it contains more theobromine. -According to the American Kennel Club, poultry bones, like chicken or turkey, as well as pork bones and any cooked bones are strictly forbidden! These types splinter into shards that can not only choke a dog but also do serious damage to its mouth, throat, or intestines. -It’s red apples in particular that are a no-no for your cat or dog because they can cause an allergic reaction. And it's not really the apple itself that's dangerous, it's the seeds. -If your dog has gotten into your tomato garden and eaten what he shouldn’t, be on the lookout for signs of tomatine poisoning. -The avidin found in egg whites disrupts the metabolism of vitamin B in the body. This blockage can lead to dry flaky skin, which can become infected if your pet scratches at it too much. -To show you just how toxic these foods are for pets, consider this: just half an ounce of grapes can poison a 10-pound dog! -Since most adult animals are lactose intolerant, ice cream doesn’t really agree with their system. 8 Mind Tricks to Keep You Off Junk Food

08:18
How to beat your unhealthy eating habits? There are a lot of simple things you can do to stop your body craving junk food. But they all start with training your brain. Whether you want this for your weight, blood sugar level, or overall health, these tips can help you stop craving fatty, unhealthy foods once and for all. Try one method, or try them all! When it comes to giving up junk food, you’ll need to experiment until you find what works for you. But if you really want to quit junk food, you’ll have to get rid of every fatty treat in your house! TIMESTAMPS: Think in color 0:36 Practice mindfulness 1:23 Watch out for the afternoon slump 2:17 Use your brain to your advantage 3:20 Think of the money 3:55 Rewire your bored brain 4:47 Believe in healthy treats 5:40 Reimagine the junk food 6:44 #junkfood #fastfood #healthydiet Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - According to a 2012 Cornell food study, adults prefer 3 different food items and 3 colors on their dinner plate; kids prefer 7 food items and 6 colors. And it makes sense! - People tend to overeat when engaged in another task. It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register that you’re full and satisfied. - Our circadian rhythm usually takes a dip between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The best way to prevent this slump is to get a good night’s sleep and eat enough at lunch and breakfast. - Techniques like tapping your forehead and ear with your index finger, tapping your toe on the floor, and staring at a blank wall all helped to reduce cravings. - According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, “the average household spends an average of $3,008 per year” —and that’s just on dining out. - Boredom and junk food seem to go hand-in-hand because junk food rewards our brain circuitry. - With some experimentation, you can find treats and late-night snacks that are good for you. If you close yourself off to the possibility that healthy treats are tasty, you’ll be eating junk food all the time. T - If you’re craving fast food, instead of picturing a lovely golden bun on a burger, imagine that the meal has unreal and unnatural colors that aren’t meant to be eaten. Why Japanese Are So Thin According to Science

09:37
Why are Japanese people so thin? What do people eat in Japan? While the rest of the world is seeing anywhere from 15 to over 30% of its population severely overweight, Japan has managed to keep that number at just 3.6%. When it comes to health tips, it's better to turn to the country with the longest life expectancy and one of the lowest obesity rates on the planet. If you’re ready to find out how the Japanese manage to stay so effortlessly thin, keep our new video! In Japan, they usually stick to 3 wholesome meals a day that don’t leave them hungry or dealing with sudden cravings. Those who do snack keep it in small quantities and with a lot of moderation. Also, the secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. Dairy products and fruits are consumed in moderation. They tend to stay away from foods with excessive amounts of salt and sugar, like burgers and soda. TIMESTAMPS: Diet 0:50 No snacking 1:39 Fast food 2:02 Eating on time 2:58 Exercise for kids 3:44 Portion sizes 4:27 A great public transportation system 5:20 Tea time 6:15 Dinnerware 7:25 Food as an experience 8:09 #japan #japanesediet #japanesefood Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. - Just like the rest of the world, a lot of Japanese people have a hectic schedule that doesn’t leave a lot of time or opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal. In that case, they can turn to their version of fast food, which is usually a lot healthier and resembles home-style cooking. - Most Japanese people have very regulated meal times. They eat 3 filling meals a day, with breakfast usually happening between 8 and 9am, lunch from 12 to 1pm, and dinner between 6 and 8pm. - It’s a lot more common for Japanese children to walk or cycle to school. Of course, other countries have a lot of reasons why it might not be efficient or safe for kids to hoof it to class. - Portion sizes have been on a steep rise in the last 20 years throughout the world. For example, countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.S., and the U.K. have much larger fast food portions than Japan. - Separate bicycle lanes and plenty of safe areas for pedestrians are common sites in Japan. This allows the Japanese to naturally burn calories as they commute to and from work or school every day. - Tea, especially the green variety, is the number one beverage in Japan. Green tea has been praised for having a ton of major health benefits, like increasing metabolism, burning fat, fighting anxiety, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, to name a few. - The practice of using chopsticks also helps in weight management, since they make you eat more slowly and in smaller bites. This slow process of eating helps people catch when they’re feeling full and avoid eating too much. The fact that food is served on a bunch of plates also slows down the process. - The number one way that the Japanese stay thin has to do with removing distractions and being mindful about the process of food consumption. Eating in Japan is treated with respect. Why are GMOs Bad?

11:26
Why are GMOs bad? They aren’t. They just aren’t, not intrinsically, and certainly not for your health. We’ve been eating them for decades with no ill effects, which makes sense, because a genetically modified organism is simply an organism, like every other organism, produces hundreds of thousands of proteins, but one or two of them are proteins that were chosen specifically by humans. 10 Things You’ll Never Buy Once You Know What’s Inside

13:11
products you won't purchase when you find out how it's made Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] We’re back yet again with another video detailing all sorts of products you love and the disgusting things hidden away inside. Many of these products are known to be bad for you, but ignorance is bliss. That is, if you don’t know specifically what’s in it, then it’s not ‘really’ that bad. Other products here are a bit more shocking because they are assumed to be pure and healthy but contain a rather surprising ingredient. Ahead we’ll start you off with an easy one – cigarettes. Yes, you know they are horrible for your health but do you know exactly what sorts of “ingredients” are in them? Then there’s Casu Marzu, a Mediterranean cheese that is illegal in most parts of the world because it contains maggots. Oh, you read that right. Ever noticed all that canned meat on the grocery shelves? Someone’s eating that, otherwise they wouldn’t stock it. We’ll show you what’s inside. When you head out for a burger or fries it’s often fun to order a milkshake. Unfortunately we have a pretty long list of things that are in that shake that may make you think twice. Processed Cheese is a staple of the American diet. Surprisingly it contains a lot less “cheese” than you might think. If you enjoy that natural vibrant pink color of the salmon you’re about to eat, look more closely. If it’s farm-raised that color is not natural. As kids many of us enjoyed a golden and delicious Twinkie. Sure, we know they aren’t good for you but just wait until you see what’s actually in these little snack cakes. Cereal is safe, right? Sure there’s brands with a lot of sugar or food coloring, but disturbingly many popular cereals are also testing positive for high levels of herbicides. Even orange juice isn’t without its issues. Whether Minute Maid or Tropicana, those juices fortified with vitamin D have animal products in them. Finally, we’ll end off with everyone’s favorites: Doritos and Cheetos. These orange snacks are just not good for you and what’s inside may have you questioning your grocery list the next time you head out. Dr. Shiv Chopra_The #TPP, Food Sovereignty and Our Health

42:56
At a recent event held in Langley BC / Dr. Shiv Chopra former Health Canada senior scientist B.V. Sc. & A.H., M.Sc., Ph.D. & now a Health Canada whistle blower, presents an overview of the negative impacts of the TPP trade deal & criticizes Illegal actions taking place in the hands of our government which negatively impact consumers and the health of the general public at large. **Among other negative aspects, this TPP trade agreement would allow for the introduction of Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH), an artificial growth hormone developed by Monsanto to increase milk output from dairy cows. Canada has always said no to milk with BGH based on public health concerns, but under the TPP, milk with BGH will be allowed on your grocery store shelf. Thank you for watching and doing your part to hold governments accountable to the citizens they were elected to serve, your stand up participation is required. 15 FOODS THAT'LL NEVER MAKE YOU FAT

05:25
What can you eat without getting fat? Everyone’s cherished dream is to eat anything at any time and still not gain weight. Is this possible?! Actually, there are foods you can eat without limitations even if you’re crazy about keeping your figure. Sounds too good to be true! These foods are rich in fiber while being low calorie, satiating you without the risk of gaining weight. Lucky you – today, we’ve compiled a list of such foods! And forget the myth that you’ll gain weight if you eat after 6pm. It’s completely wrong! In fact, if you want to stay slim, it’s best to have dinner 3-4 hours before bed. So if you go to bed at 11 p.m., you can calmly eat at 7 p.m. It won’t hurt your figure at all! TIMESTAMPS: Popcorn 0:36 Celery 0:59 Eggplant 1:16 Oranges, grapefruits, and tangerines 1:39 Melon and watermelon 2:07 Algae 2:21 Zucchini 2:37 Cucumber 2:51 Beetroot 3:08 Eggs 3:21 Pineapple 3:35 Apples and plums 3:50 Salad 4:03 Berries: currant, cranberry, strawberry 4:10 Cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower 4:27 #weightloss #excessweight #perfectfit SUMMARY: - If you fry popcorn without butter and sugar (with a little salt, for instance), you can eat it without fear. This way, a portion (about a cup) only contains 31 kcal. - Celery stems are 95% water. They help you lose excess weight and detoxify your body thanks to their diuretic effect. A medium-sized stalk of celery contains only 6 calories! - A portion of eggplant grilled or baked without oil makes for 24 kcal, so you can enjoy this savory veggie without any limitations. - A large amount of fruit is not recommended if you want to lose weight, yet citrus fruits are an exception here. They’re rich in substances like fiber, flavonoids, and vitamin C. - Melon and watermelon are 95% water. With 60-70 kcal per slice, you can eat them day in and day out. These fruits help excrete excess liquid from your body and satiate you well. - Algae, like laminaria, are the best source of iodine. They help your thyroid function normally, keeping your hormones at normal levels and preventing you from gaining weight. - A portion of zucchini is about 42 kcal. It normalizes your salt-water ratio, improves your intestinal function, and can also be used to lower the energy output of main courses. - A cucumber is 95% water; therefore, this vegetable can quench your thirst easily. And the remaining 5% is a source of vitamins and minerals. - Beetroot is a source of nutrients, such as manganese. They help burn fat, drive your muscles, and regulate your blood sugar. An average portion is just 40 kcal! - You can eat eggs at any time of the day, even at night, without fear of gaining weight. Of course, boiled eggs are better than fried ones. One boiled egg contains about 80 kcal! - The bromelain contained within pineapples actively splits fats and helps metabolize proteins. A slice of pineapple is about 30 kcal. - One apple is only 50 kcal. It makes you feel satiated and regulates your digestion. Plums are rich in vitamin C and potassium, which maintain your heart and vessels. - Salad is a great source of folic acid, and you can eat it by the ton: one leaf of lettuce is 3 kcal! - Currants and cranberries are rich in vitamin C, and the former is also a diuretic, helping get rid of excess water. - A portion of diced cabbage is just 7 kcal. You shouldn’t, of course, only eat cabbage and cauliflower, as their nutrients rival with iodine, but you can easily include these foods a couple of times a week. How long does the process of digestion last? Do you find yourself still hungry no matter how much you eat? If so, you might be eating foods that are too high on the glycemic index. It’s definitely something worth knowing if you’re struggling with excess weight. The glycemic index is a system of values given to foods according to how quickly they cause an increase in blood glucose levels. To put that in layman’s terms, it basically measures how fast different foods are digested by the body. Glucose is a simple sugar that gives your body energy, and you get it from the foods you eat. Your blood is what carries this sugar throughout your body to all your hungry cells and tissues. That’s why it’s called blood glucose. If you eat something that’s high on the index, your blood glucose will spike, giving you a fast boost of energy. TIMESTAMPS: What glycemic index is 0:58 Foods that digest slowly 3:30 Foods that digest moderately 4:08 Foods that digest quickly 4:34 Foods that don’t have a glycemic index value 5:27 What about pizza? 6:09 Are all low-glycemic foods healthy? 6:43 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The glycemic index is a system of values given to foods according to how quickly they cause an increase in blood glucose levels. To put that in layman’s terms, it basically measures how fast different foods are digested by the body. - If you eat something that’s high on the index, your blood glucose will spike, giving you a fast boost of energy. - Foods and drinks are actually split into three groups: low, medium, and high. Low items rate from 1 to 55, medium is from 56 to 69, and high items are from 70 and above. - According to the experts at Bodytomy, some low-glycemic foods, like cooked vegetables or a salad, can remain in your stomach anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. - There are also foods that really don’t really have a glycemic index value since they don’t contain any carbs. But they can still take a while to be digested by your stomach. It can take you anywhere from 2 to 5 hours for your stomach to digest meats, like chicken, lamb, and pork. - If you’re having pizza that’s just dough, cheese, and sauce, that might rate high on the glycemic index, mostly because of that dough. But believe it or not, adding toppings actually makes your slice healthier! - You might encounter foods that will be low on the index, but if they’re processed, they most likely still contain tons of saturated fats, sugar, and empty calories. I Ate One Meal a Day For a Month, See What Happened to Me

08:55
Can you eat just one meal a day? The human body can survive without a bite of food for up to 3 weeks. Of course, it’s a different story with water; you wouldn’t last more than 3 or 4 days without it! You and I both know that people are expected to eat 3 full meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Depending on how filling those meals are, you may squeeze in a few snacks here and there. It usually takes about 4 hours after each meal for your belly to start making those too-often-than-not embarrassingly monstrous growls, reminding you that it’s time for your next meal! But with different diets and fasting gaining popularity, I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen to my body if I ate just one meal every day for 30 days. I did it, and here’s what I got out of it! TIMESTAMPS: What the one meal a day diet is 1:44 The pros of this diet 2:38 The cons of this diet 4:05 How I felt after the 30 days 5:30 What a number of studies have shown 6:17 #diet #onemealaday #weightloss Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - You eat just one meal a day. There aren’t too many strict guidelines to this diet. You can essentially eat any foods you want and as much as you want, as long as it’s during your one singular meal of the day. - Unlike a lot of other diets, there are no special ingredients involved and no annoying calorie counting. If you want French fries, have French fries! If you’re craving a big bowl of spaghetti, go for it! - If weight loss is a goal of yours, it’s important not to overeat during your one meal since it can disrupt the diet’s ability to help you maintain a steady drop in pounds. - After trying it for a couple of days, I found that my body quickly adjusted to this way of eating, and my appetite really wasn’t that raging. This must be because my stomach probably shrank after a few days, so I felt satisfied with just one meal a day. - For the first couple days, my stomach was definitely feeling hunger pangs. It started with stomach growls and ended with painful cramping. - For the first week, I just wanted to lie on the couch and Netflix and chill all day long. My energy was super low, and I felt so lethargic. - After the 30 days, I found that I’d actually dropped a few pounds! I felt pretty awesome not only because I’d gotten leaner and felt healthier, but I was also really proud of myself for sticking to a diet that I easily could’ve given up on. - One of the main concerns I found online was the fact that women and men respond differently to this type of intermittent fasting. Women have a stronger need for iron in their diet. - I also read up on different studies. One of them was conducted in 2017 by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan. They found that the one meal a day diet can be helpful for people suffering from type 2 diabetes since it helps with weight loss and reducing blood sugar levels. - Other studies have shown that it can really help increase the lifespan in people with obesity. - It just a super specific thing that each person should check with their doctor to see if they can do it safely. A lot of people swear by it, and I’m happy with the weight loss results I got.
