Water Pollution for Kids | #aumsum #kids #education #science #learn
Our topic for today is Water Pollution. Contamination of water by harmful substances, which affects life on earth, is termed as water pollution. Due to human activities, our water is getting more and more polluted day by day. Household garbage is disposed into various sources of water. Many people perform their domestic activities like bathing, washing clothes and utensils, etc. in these sources of water. Also, industrial wastes are discharged into the water, leading to water pollution. Consumption of this polluted water leads to diseases like cholera, typhoid, diarrhoea, etc. in human beings. Polluted water also adversely affects the aquatic life. Thus, we need to make sure that we do not pollute water. Domestic activities such as bathing, washing clothes and utensils should not be done in rivers, lakes, ponds, etc. Household garbage should not be disposed in the various sources of water. Also, sewage and industrial waste water should be treated before discharging into the water.

15 Dramatic Changes on Earth Revealed by NASA
If you compare some of the photographs which can be found on NASA’s website, you can really see how human beings have changed the appearance of our world over the years. The photo taken in 1917 shows that it was an ordinary massive glacier once. No icebergs are visible anymore. - The Aral Sea in Kazakhstan almost disappeared by 2014 due to the extensive irrigation of cotton fields. - Lake Oroville was hit hard by the lack of water while California was suffering from a severe drought. - The photo taken at the same place almost 100 years later shows that the Carroll glacier still exists, but it has serious problems. The ice cap has melted and has been covered with natural debris. - Powell Lake is an artificial reservoir located on the Colorado River. It’s easy to notice that its water level has reduced over 15 years. - The rise in temperature from 1950 to 1990 caused the giant Bear Glacier to retreat by one mile. From 2000 to 2005, it moved another two miles. - Since the 1960s, Amazon rain forests have been actively cut down. According to current estimates, they now have about 80% left. The state of Rondonia in Brazil lost most of its forests. - Toboggan Glacier covered a large territory once. Unfortunately, like many other glaciers on our planet, this one keeps melting fast. Comparing the two photos, you can see that there is less snow in 2000. - Qori Kalis Glacier located in the Andes mountains of Peru. Frankly speaking, it's almost impossible to recognize this place nowadays – the difference is truly shocking. - Mar Chiquita Lake is the biggest salt lake in South America. As you see, it has become smaller in recent years, but the area still looks lush. Scientists Have Found Plastic-Eating Bacteria
How to solve the plastic pollution problem? Bacteria that munch on plastic: could this be the answer to the humanity’s environmental crisis? After all, we’re drowning in tons of plastic, and it’s hurting our oceans, the creatures in them, and even our own health! This microscopic plastic-eater isn’t your average bacteria. Scientists actually found a way to mutate this microorganism and boost its planet-saving superpower. It can make the world a better place by eating away all the plastic waste. And with about 20,000 water bottles being bought every second around the world, it’s got a big job to do. TIMESTAMPS: What plastic-eater is 0:52 How much plastic end up in our oceans every year 1:41 How long it takes for plastics to biodegrade 4:03 What it all started with 4:37 Enzyme technology 6:55 How you can reduce your use of plastic 7:14 #plasticeatingbacteria #pollution #savetheplanet Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - A staggering 19 billion pounds of plastic end up in our oceans every year. Once it’s there, it gets ingested by the animals that humans eat, which means our health gets affected too. - Plastic can disrupt ecosystems and create more and more areas where nothing can survive. - Plastic is all around us, and (get this) it’s even inside of us! Plastic is used so extensively that it’s been found in human stool! - It takes around 400 years for some types of plastic to fully biodegrade, like the ones used in water and soda bottles. - Japanese researchers discovered a strand of bacteria that’s evolved to eat a particular type of plastic called polyethylene terephthalate, commonly known as PET or PETE. - According to them, the bacteria could break the plastic down into smaller pieces but not fully eat it away. It took about 6 weeks for the bacteria to eat through a thin layer of plastic. - Enzyme technology could be used to help humanity’s trash problem, but it’s still in its early stages. The researchers are continuing to tweak the enzyme in hopes that they can improve upon it even further and use it on a larger scale. - The creation of this super enzyme is a great way to kick off a solution to plastic pollution. But this enzyme, despite its mutant nature, can’t undo all the pollution that’s currently in the world. - As long as people keep buying and using it, companies will continue to manufacture plastic. The cycle will keep on going until the consumer is willing to break it. - Don’t give into the lazy convenience of plastic plates and utensils. Use porcelain dinnerware, and just do the dishes afterwards. Just make it fun and turn on some music or your favorite show! Facts about Land Pollution
What is land pollution? How does it affect the environment? Read all about it in the facts about land pollution. The process of contamination of the land surface of the Earth is referred to as land pollution. It results from human activities that cause an imbalance in nature. Dumping human and industrial waste, harmful agricultural practices and exposing the land to harmful chemicals leads to the pollution of land. We often ignore the fact that land constitutes soil, which is one of the most important natural resources. While discussing the causes and effects of pollution, we speak of water and air pollution and rarely even think of the adverse effects of land pollution. Land Pollution Facts Land pollution is the result of human misuse of soil. Poor agricultural practices, digging up of important resources and dumping of garbage underground can cause land pollution. Urbanization, the growth of rural lands into urban areas and industrialization that results in the formation of an industrial society are regarded as the two main causes of land pollution. The excavation of minerals, the increasing quarrying and mining activities lead to land pollution. The excavation and mining activities lead to the loosening of soil. Increased mechanization leads to the contamination of soil, thus causing severe land pollution. Deforestation is one of the major causes of loosening of soil, that in turn causes soil erosion. The soil that is left naked on harvesting crops from agricultural lands is vulnerable to being eroded by wind and water. Intensive agricultural practices cause the soil cover to lose its nutritional elements, making it of no use for agriculture. Excessive use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers causes soil contamination. Chemicals can prove harmful to the animal and plant life. An excessive use of chemicals leads to a decrease in the fertility of soil. Certain herbicides and insecticides lead to toxicity of soil. Fungicides contain copper and mercury, which are extremely harmful to the soil as well as the plant and animal life that thrives in it. Inefficient and unhealthy methods of soil management and harmful irrigation practices lead to soil pollution. A New Continent Is Discovered on Earth In the Pacific Ocean
How to Stop Water Polution. In case you're wondering what water polution has to do with a new continent discoevered in the Pacific Ocean, here's the answer to this mystery. This new continent is an island that consists solely of garbage and plastic waste. Some countries are ready to announce an ecological disaster. Let’s see if there’s something we can all do to save the planet. TIMESTAMPS The popularity of plastic 0:26 Garbage islands 1:47 The Great Pacific Garbage Patch 2:30 Problems connected with the plastic pollution of the ocean 4:39 Bali ecological disaster 7:31 Several ways to solve problem 8:26 #newcontinent #garbageisland #ecologicalproblem Music: Butchers - Silent Partner https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -2 million plastic bags a minute are thrown away. As for bubble wrap, the amount produced in just one year would be enough to cover our planet around the equator. 500 billion plastic cups are used and disposed of annually. -There are 3 huge garbage islands in the world: in the central North Pacific Ocean, in the Indian Ocean, and in the Atlantic Ocean. -The size of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is currently more than 600,000 square miles. According to the journal Scientific Reports, there are more than 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic that have accumulated in this area. -Plastic objects in the ocean kill animals or get stuck in their bodies. Some types of plastic are toxic. In addition, plastic has the ability to absorb such poisonous substances as mercury. Birds often choke to death after trying to swallow a bright object that has caught their eye. -Indonesian authorities have recently declared a “garbage emergency.” More than 100 tons of waste brought ashore every day to beaches from Seminyak and Jimbaran to Kuta. -To solve the problem, people can find a way to remove the garbage that is already in the ocean. Another way out is to decrease pollution or stop it completely. Pollution around the world-effects/reasons/solution/diseases/preveAir Pollution Causes More than 6 Million Deaths Worldwide Here you will know how to prevent yourself from heart disease and diseases caused by air pollution. You will learn about "Air Pollution" in this . Cutting of trees is one of the major reasons of air pollution. Air also gets polluted due to the smoke released by many factories and industries. Burning of wood and fossil fuels is another reason of air pollution. Also, vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks etc. give out a lot of smoke that pollutes the air. Due to air pollution, human beings suffer from a number of diseases like asthma, bronchitis, cancer, skin diseases etc. Air pollution also affects the growth of plants and causes damage to our beautiful historical monuments. As responsible citizens, it is necessary to take up some preventive measures to reduce air pollution and its effects. We must plant more trees, avoid bursting firecrackers, make more use of public transport and ensure that regular servicing of our vehicles is done. Lastly, factories and power plants should also be set up far from residential areas, which will help in reducing air pollution. Almost one in seven children worldwide live in areas with high levels of outdoor air pollution, mostly in South Asia, and their growing bodies are most vulnerable to damage, the U.N. children's agency UNICEF said on Monday. UNICEF called on almost 200 governments, which will meet in Morocco from Nov. 7-18 for talks on global warming, to restrict use of fossil fuels to give twin benefits of improved health and slower climate change... air pollution definition air pollution delhi air pollution deaths air pollution data air pollution diseases air pollution drawing air pollution diagram air pollution documentary air pollution def air pollution detector air pollution causes air pollution china air pollution control air pollution causes and effects air pollution control act air pollution cannot be directly fatal to humans air pollution chicago air pollution cartoon air pollution chart air pollution control district air pollution beijing air pollution by country air pollution by state air pollution best illustrates air pollution by city air pollution books air pollution by cars air pollution background air pollution brochure air pollution boston air pollution articles air pollution affects everyone equally air pollution and health air pollution and asthma air pollution and climate change air pollution and global warming air pollution around the world air pollution act air pollution activities air pollution and lung cancer air pollution in china air pollution definition air pollution facts air pollution effects air pollution causes air pollution in india air pollution map air pollution articles air pollution affects everyone equally air pollution statistics air pollution air pollution in china air pollution definition air pollution facts air pollution effects air pollution causes air pollution in india air pollution map air pollution articles air pollution affects everyone equally air pollution effects air pollution examples air pollution essay air pollution effects on health air pollution effects on environment air pollution effects on animals air pollution experiment air pollution epa air pollution effects on plants air pollution events air pollution facts air pollution for kids air pollution from cars air pollution from factories air pollution first became a widespread problem air pollution from fracking air pollution filter air pollution from fossil fuels air pollution from landfills air pollution from coal air pollution graph air pollution global warming air pollution gif air pollution game air pollution gases air pollution georgia air pollution gis data air pollution great smoky mountains air pollution groups air pollution globally air pollution health effects air pollution history air pollution health air pollution human health air pollution hong kong air pollution houston air pollution heart disease air pollution health and environmental impacts air pollution hypothesis air pollution hazards air pollution in china air pollution in india air pollution in los angeles air pollution in beijing air pollution in the united states air pollution index air pollution in mexico city air pollution in nyc air pollution in california air pollution images air pollution japan air pollution jobs air pollution journal air pollution jokes air pollution jeopardy air pollution jewelry air pollution jaipur air pollution jamaica air pollution journal articles pdf air pollution jacksonville fl air pollution kills air pollution kills more than air pollution killing animals air pollution korea air pollution kathmandu air pollution kolkata air pollution killing bees air pollution kid air pollution kills 7 million a year air pollution kunshan air pollution los angeles air pollution laws air pollution levels air pollution lab air pollution london

#1 impact of air pollution
Air pollution occurs when harmful substances including particulates and biological molecules are introduced into Earth's atmosphere. It may cause diseases, allergies or death in humans; it may also cause harm to other living organisms such as animals and food crops, and may damage the natural or built environment . Human activity and natural processes can both generate air pollution. Indoor air pollution and poor urban air quality are listed as two of the world's worst toxic pollution problems in the 2008 Blacksmith Institute World's Worst Polluted Places report. [1] According to the 2014 WHO report, air pollution in 2012 caused the deaths of around 7 million people worldwide, [2] an estimate roughly matched by the International Energy Agency .[3][4] Pollutants Main articles: Pollutant and Greenhouse gas An air pollutant is a substance in the air that can have adverse effects on humans and the ecosystem. The substance can be solid particles, liquid droplets, or gases. A pollutant can be of natural origin or man-made. Pollutants are classified as primary or secondary. Primary pollutants are usually produced from a process, such as ash from a volcanic eruption. Other examples include carbon monoxide gas from motor vehicle exhaust, or the sulfur dioxide released from factories. Secondary pollutants are not emitted directly. Rather, they form in the air when primary pollutants react or interact. Ground level ozone is a prominent example of a secondary pollutant. Some pollutants may be both primary and secondary: they are both emitted directly and formed from other primary pollutants. Before flue-gas desulfurization was installed, the emissions from this power plant in New Mexico contained excessive amounts of sulfur dioxide . Schematic drawing, causes and effects of air pollution: (1) greenhouse effect, (2) particulate contamination, (3) increased UV radiation, (4) acid rain, (5) increased ground level ozone concentration, (6) increased levels of nitrogen oxides. Thermal oxidizers are air pollution abatement options for hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and odorous emissions. Substances emitted into the atmosphere by human activity include: Carbon dioxide (CO2 ) - Because of its role as a greenhouse gas it has been described as "the leading pollutant" [5] and "the worst climate pollution". [6] Carbon dioxide is a natural component of the atmosphere, essential for plant life and given off by the human respiratory system.[7] This question of terminology has practical effects, for example as determining whether the U.S. Clean Air Act is deemed to regulate CO2 emissions. [8] CO2 currently forms about 405 parts per million (ppm) of earth's atmosphere, compared to about 280 ppm in pre-industrial times, [9] and billions of metric tons of CO2 are emitted annually by burning of fossil fuels .[10] CO2 increase in earth's atmosphere has been accelerating. [11] Sulfur oxides (SOx) - particularly sulfur dioxide, a chemical compound with the formula SO2 . SO2 is produced by volcanoes and in various industrial processes. Coal and petroleum often contain sulfur compounds, and their combustion generates sulfur dioxide. Further oxidation of SO2 , usually in the presence of a catalyst such as NO 2 , forms H 2 SO4 , and thus acid rain .[2] This is one of the causes for concern over the environmental impact of the use of these fuels as power sources. Nitrogen oxides (NO x) - Nitrogen oxides, particularly nitrogen dioxide , are expelled from high temperature combustion, and are also produced during thunderstorms by electric discharge . They can be seen as a brown haze dome above or a plume downwind of cities. Nitrogen dioxide is a chemical compound with the formula NO 2 . It is one of several nitrogen oxides. One of the most prominent air pollutants, this reddish-brown toxic gas has a characteristic sharp, biting odor. Carbon monoxide (CO) - CO is a colorless, odorless, toxic yet non-irritating gas. It is a product of incomplete combustion of fuel such as natural gas, coal or wood. Vehicular exhaust is a major source of carbon monoxide. Volatile organic compounds (VOC) - VOCs are a well-known outdoor air pollutant. They are categorized as either methane (CH4 ) or non-methane (NMVOCs). Methane is an extremely efficient greenhouse gas which contributes to enhanced global warming . Other hydrocarbon VOCs are also significant greenhouse gases because of their role in creating ozone and prolonging the life of methane in the atmosphere. This effect varies depending on local air quality. The aromatic NMVOCs benzene, toluene and xylene are suspected carcinogens and may lead to leukemia with prolonged exposure. 1,3-butadiene is another dangerous compound often associated with industrial use. Particulates , alternatively referred to as particulate matter (PM), atmospheric particulate matter, or fine particles, are tiny particles of solid or liquid suspended in a gas. In contrast, aerosol refers to combined pa

What are Environmental Ethics and Our Moral Responsibilities
We humans exploit the nature considering ourselves to be the most superior beings. We think that the nature is made for us to use, rather than thinking that we are just a part of the nature like all other non-human entities. This is where the need to have environmental ethics arises. Environmental ethics is a branch of environmental philosophy that studies the ethical relationship between human beings and the environment. This field has given a new dimension to the conservation and protection of the environment. Watch this video to know all about environmental ethics, the issues related to it and our moral responsibility towards it. 10 Things That Will Happen When Humans Go Extinct
What will the Earth be like when humans go extinct?? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg This topic is rather morbid, but we do have a wild fascination for theories as to how our world could end. We have been taught for years that everything that begins must have an ending, and considering how long Earth has been around, the clock is ticking for our home planet. And because we are more fascinated by how things will end than just accepting our inevitable demise, hundreds of theories have emerged in order to try to hypothesize and make sense of it all. Just as the dinosaurs are extinct, everyone wonders for a period of time (or two) just how far away humanity is from extinction, and just how it will happen. Some of the theories are fairly peaceful, but there are others that are truly terrifying. Here are some of the most devastating ways that humanity could end. The first theory is pretty real since we are in the midst of it; global warming. The years 2005 and 2010 were the warmest years compared to the previous century, and the result of global warming is bizarre climate change. With the funky seasons and weather conditions that have plagued us in the 21st century, one has to wonder if maybe we’ve gone too far with our pollution and are on our way to meet our end because of our own foolish actions. The next theory is death by asteroid, which is pretty scary considering that we don’t have much control over the course of massive rocks that could hit our planet at any moment. Our Earth and Moon have been hit with asteroids before, which is speculated as to that was what killed the dinosaurs. The next thing that could wipe out humanity is a pandemic. With the Ebola scare, and other unknown illnesses that are killing people left and right, it is rather easy to spread a massive virus and do some population control. While vaccines are being perfected every day, they have to be updated annually because viruses and diseases are constantly adapting and evolving. That is scary in of itself right there. Speaking of illnesses, there has even been several rumors that the government is working on mind-control viruses as a biological weapon, thus setting off a zombie apocalypse. But let us not forget that we can also literally kill ourselves with nuclear war. With governments of various countries constantly pointing weapons at each other with veiled threats (for now), it’s only a matter of time before one side starts firing and sets off a rapid fire exchange of nuclear weapons, thus killing millions and setting off a nuclear winter that could last for years. The next thing that could kill humanity is something that you are using right at this very moment; your computer. Computers are being used in almost every aspect of everyday life from work, to home, medical facilities, shopping, dining, and more. What would happen if computers would ever become aware? It’s not like there is anything that humanity could give back to them in order to survive. From Mother Nature to our own hand, there are so many devastating ways that humanity could end. The question and mystery that remains is the how. Although ecosystem managers in Australia have worked hard to preserve the reefs, the past couple of decades have brought a new threat that can't be solved by any one country alone: human-induced global warming. Rising ocean temperatures have caused mass coral bleaching in coral reefs around the world, in every tropical ocean from the Caribbean to the South Pacific. This is now considered to be the biggest threat that coral reefs face, and they face many, including overfishing, pollution, storm damage, and invasive species. The discovery, published in today's Nature Ecology and Evolution journal, highlights the pervasive nature of pollution and destroys the belief these deep-sea wildernesses are largely safe from human degradation." Earth Day² - Encounters with Trash http://oceanexplorer.noaa.gov/okeanos/explorations/ex1605/logs/apr22/welcome.html "You may think that working in the deep sea means that we only see pristine environments, but unfortunately that isn't true. During our 5,000-meter dive in Sirena Canyon, along the Mariana Trench wall, we saw multiple pieces of marine debris. A soda can, a food tin, and a piece of rope all accompanied the fish, corals, and rocks that we imaged as we moved up the slope. We encountered even more trash (nine pieces!) on our dive the following day at Enigma Seamount, including several plastic bags and a piece of clothing." Bioaccumulation of persistent organic pollutants in the deepest ocean fauna http://www.nature.com/articles/s41559-016-0051 "The legacy and reach of anthropogenic influence is most clearly evidenced by its impact on the most remote and inaccessible habitats on Earth. Here we identify extraordinary levels of persistent organic pollutants in the endemic amphipod fauna from two of the deepest ocean trenches (over 10,000 metres)." ____________________ DNews is dedicated to satisfying your curiosity and to bringing you mind-bending stories & perspectives you won't find anywhere else! How noise pollution is ruining your hearing
Our ears are exposed to dangerous levels of noise every single day. Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO Health organizations warn that continual exposure to noise levels above 70 decibels can potentially damage your ears. And yet we are routinely exposed to noise much louder than that in everyday situations. Our world is increasingly noisy and our bars, restaurants, gyms, and streets all produce decibel levels that can cause harm to our hearing in mere minutes. Hearing loss is incredibly common and is the fourth highest disability worldwide. One in four American adults shows signs of noise-induced hearing loss, and the problem is only going to get worse. While hearing damage is irreversible, it's also completely preventable. Watch for tips on how to protect your ears even in incredibly loud environments. Nano Pollution and Alzheimers - Listen Up
This is some interesting news connecting Alzheimers and the dirty air we breathe. Please listen, check out the links and share! A new study has discovered toxic nanoparticles from air pollution in large quantities in human brains. The researchers examined brain tissue from 37 people aged between 3 and 92 years old in the U.K. and Mexico. Magnetite, a type of iron oxide, was found in massive quantities in the samples – millions of particles per gram of brain tissue. Finding any particles connected to air pollution in the human brain would be troubling, but magnetite is particularly concerning. Recent research has found that these particles may be linked to Alzheimer’s disease, and exposure air pollution has been shown to significantly increase the risk of developing the illness. While magnetite is known to form naturally in brain tissue, the biological variety is small and crystal-shaped. The particles associated with air pollution and suspected to be harmful are large and spherical, formed as molten droplets from combustion sources such as industrial processes or car exhaust. The study found about 100 times the pollution-linked particles as it did the naturally-occurring ones. This ratio makes sense when you consider that roadside air analysis in Lancaster, England found as many as 200 million of these particles per cubic meter. The study also found other metal particles in the brain that are suspected to come from car exhaust, including platinum, cobalt and nickel. It’s believed that these particles are able to build up due to the unique way the body processes inhaled substances. When air pollution enters the nose, it’s able to completely bypass the blood-brain barrier and directly enter the brain through the nose. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• A few links for those interested: Is there a Connection between Alzheimer’s Disease, Magnetite and Prions? In the past, those powerful images have generated interest and resources for fighting marine pollution, but now a new, much tinier threat is emerging. Microplastics — meaning any plastic object smaller than five millimeters — constitute the vast majority of plastic particles polluting marine habitats. Of those microplastics, a large share are microfibers: tiny strands of plastic that are woven into fabric used to make clothing. These fabrics, known by names like polyester and nylon, are cheap to produce, comfortable to wear, and since arriving on the market in the late 1940s, companies have been using more and more of them. Every time we do laundry, a small amount of microfibers are separated from clothes made from these materials. Since those pieces of plastic are extremely small, they're able to make their way through water treatment centers and into marine resources. Once they reach marine habitats, the ocean’s tiniest creatures consume them, and microfibers work their way up the food chain. Eventually, they reach us. Stephen Hawking’s 7 Predictions of Earth’s Demise in the Next 200 Years
What will happen to our planet in the next 200 years? The most famous scientist since Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, who has made profound and inspiring discoveries, predicted an extremely dark and pessimistic future to the Earth and its inhabitants. Here are some of Hawking’s most terrifying predictions on how and when our world will meet its demise. Since scientists started toying with genetically engineered viruses to treat human illnesses, they’ve also discovered other possible uses for them. Nowadays, pharmacists are even combining several deadly viruses into a single shot and doing some weird stuff with DNA mixing. Hawking was a firm believer in extraterrestrial life, and he was convinced that they will eventually invade our planet. And no, unfortunately, they probably won’t come in peace. In his final work, A Smooth Exit from Eternal Inflation, completed just two weeks before he died, Hawking predicted that our universe will eventually fade into darkness as all the stars run out of energy. Although Hawking's life basically depended on artificial intelligence, he didn't trust it at all. He once said that it might just be “the worst invention in the history of our civilization” because it’ll probably replace humans altogether. Hawking added that global warming will make the conditions on Earth similar to those on Venus. To save ourselves from problems like overpopulation (and the scarcity of resources that comes with it), pandemics, and pollution, we have to discover new worlds and become a multi-planetary species. Music: Diamond Ortiz - Crock Pot Gonna Onyekwe - Destination Unknown Doug Maxwell/Media Right Productions - Hipsters Hopping Doug Maxwell - Light Years Away William Rosati - Rounds Francis Preve- Stranger Danger https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Genetically modified vaccines will backfire on us. 1:04 Aliens will invade our planet. 2:36 The Universe will come to an end. 3:52 Robots will replace humans. 4:21 Nuclear weapons will destroy humanity. 5:32 We'll need to find another planet to live on. 6:03 The Earth will combust into a ball of fire. 9:17 SUMMARY -We still don't fully understand the long-term damage genetically engineered vaccine concoctions might have. -Chances are that cosmic beings will find our floating rock in space and they’ll most likely want to either destroy us or study us like lab rats. -Hawking predicted that our universe will eventually fade into darkness as all the stars run out of energy. -The scientist believed that artificial intelligence could eventually outsmart and outperform humans or, worse, decide to get rid of us. -The development of militarized technology and weapons of mass destruction could lead us to disastrous consequences, which would mean the end of our world. -According to Hawking, we have to find another planet to live on within the next 100 years. Otherwise, we’ll die out as a species because Earth has already reached “the point of no return”. -Global warming will make the conditions on Earth similar to those on Venus. The average temperature will be about 480°F. Our planet will burst into flames in less than 600 years. RESTRICTIONS: Broadcast: NO USE JAPAN, NO USE TAIWAN Digital: NO USE JAPAN, NO USE TAIWAN New information from the World Health Organization says that 7 million people die annually from exposure to polluted air. The organization says nine out of 10 people everywhere are exposed to dangerous pollutants. According to the WHO, 34% of all pollution-related deaths are due to heart disease and 20% are from stroke. The rest consist of various lung-related conditions including pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer. Around 3.6 million deaths were connected to exposure from indoor air pollutants such as fumes from cooking fires and stoves. The most vulnerable are children under 5 where pneumonia is the biggest risk to life, women working in smoky kitchens and people who work outside. If You Ever See This Tree, Run Fast And Yell For Help!
Which trees are dangerous to humans? There are over 3 trillion trees on our planet that clean our air, help prevent water pollution and soil erosion, and provide us with oxygen and shade on a hot day. Some plants and trees, however, aren’t exactly that good since they’re super dangerous and can seriously hurt you or even kill. If you ever see any of them, don’t touch them and ask for help to remove them. When the fruit of the sandbox tree matures, it becomes dark brown and explodes, shooting seeds a whopping 150 miles per hour in all directions. You can imagine what a serious injury that could cause if you get in the way of these organic bullets. If a child or dog eats just one or two of cherry trees’ leaves, they’ll suffer from a horrible stomachache. And if they eat more than that, they’ll most likely end up with cyanide poisoning. If children or dogs eat or chew on Buckeyes, they’ll most likely suffer from vomiting and diarrhea. Pets may have troubles breathing or start to stagger and shake. If you have an Ohio buckeye tree near your house, your best and safest bet is to pick up all the nuts and twigs and keep them out of your kids' and pets' reach. You’re unlikely to swallow two hundred seeds or munch on twenty apple cores, which is the fatal dosage for people. But if pets and other animals eat too many apples, it can easily kill them. Some of the cerbera odollam’s components are used to make deodorants and pesticides, but in its pure form, the cerbera odollam can be deadly. Manchineel tree is covered in poisonous sap, and if it comes in contact with your skin, it can cause blindness. Do not burn manchineel wood even if you have nothing else at hand to start a fire. The smoke from this fire will definitely lead to eye inflammation and even temporary blindness. If you accidentally eat the fruit, your body will have an almost instant reaction with cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea. -The cherry and its relatives release particular chemicals that later metabolize into cyanide, poisoning with which can easily and quickly become fatal. -All parts of the Ohio buckeye tree contain saponins, which are chemicals that depress the central nervous system. -The leaves, stems, and seeds of apple trees contain that very same chemical as in cherry trees that’s metabolized into cyanide during digestion. -The cerbera odollam grows in South Asia and India, where some desperate people are willing to end their lives just by eating the extremely toxic fruit of this tree. -Highly toxic milky sap oozes out of the tree’s leaves, bark, and fruit. It contains all kinds of toxins, but the most lethal is phorbol. Even if you haven't swallowed the fruit but just bitten into it, its juice will lead to painful boils that will cover your throat and the insides of your mouth. 10 Most Environmentally Damaging Industries!
10 Most Environmentally Damaging Industries! From industrial waste to acid rain…stay tuned to number 1 to find out 10 of the most polluting industries in the world. This top 10 brought to you by Zero2Hero!! Don't forget to subscribe here! https://goo.gl/NXuChu Click here to see 10 Mansions That No One Wants To Buy!! https://youtu.be/XASGVgYmRdI Number 10: Agriculture. There can be no denying that pesticides and other chemicals used by the agricultural industry pollute the environment. Studies continue to show the negative impact that these chemicals can have on local wildlife and water sources. There is no one single cause of agriculture pollution. Pesticides and fertilizers, contaminated water, soil erosion and sedimentation, and livestock diet and waste requirements can cause health related issues and have an effect on aquatic animals. In 2016, the Guardian covered a report which stated that farming was the biggest cause of air pollution in Europe. The study at the heart of the 2016 Guardian article takes it a step further by highlighting the industries impact on air pollution. When the nitrogen compounds are mixed with air already polluted from other industries, they combine to form solid particles that can stick in the fine lung tissue of children and adults, causing breathing difficulties, and impaired lung and heart function…eventually leading premature expiration. Number 9: Industrial Dumpsites. It would be hard to put an exact number on the number of industrial dumpsites that exist in the world. Some countries are less forthcoming about the number of the large-scale dumpsites they have. Nevertheless, the polluting impact of these sites are well-known. Both open dumpsites and municipal landfills are used around the world, often containing scrap metal, agricultural waste, hospital and household waste, and chemical waste from industrial processes. The mixture of toxic substances and decaying organic material can impact the soil quality of the areas surrounding a landfill site. Add rain to the mix and the result is a serious contamination of the local ground water. As a result, they are also the last place anyone would want to live, but unfortunately, as a 2017 study brought to light, around 15 million people live and work within huge municipal dump sites around the world. Many of these people who are born and raised in these environments only have an average life expectancy of around 35 years, and many face multiple health issues associated to pollution from dumpsites. Number 8: Fashion Industry. Before we talk about the fashion industy’s environmental impact, take a moment to like this video and join the Zero2Hero community by using the buttons below! Fashion has been the focus of a lot of attention recently. News articles, websites and blogs have featured pieces about pollution in the fashion industry. In comparison to some of the other entries in this list, fashion is the most unlikely entry on this list. Nevertheless, ‘fast fashion’, is has having a considerable impact on the environment, and in particular, through water pollution. Since the year 2000, global clothing production has more than doubled in size and, with thousands of new clothes lines a year, consumers are constantly encouraged to buy the newest item. A shocking amount of this ends up in landfill sites. The production and usage of the clothes also causes pollution. The production of clothes requires land for factories, cotton production for material, water and fuel for manufacturing, and there is the potential for lots of toxic chemicals for dyes and so on. Every time we wash them, thousands of plastic fibbers go down the drain and into the rivers, oceans, and according to some recent findings, even into the food chain. Number 7: Dye Industry. In close association with fashion, the dye industry is also a significant polluter. We find dyes in paints, textiles, inks, paper and plastics, which we all use every day. One of the main polluting factors of the dye industries is water pollution which, in turn, has an impact on the local environment and population. The water waste from dye production carries a host of different chemicals. Chromium, lead, mercury, arsenic, as well as a host of other pollutants enter water sources after being directly dumped into surface water without treatment. It won’t take you long online to find photographs from alleged dye factories that run their waste directly into rivers, often causing a visible change in the water. Even without visible change, unchecked dumping of dye water waste has a massive impact on the local environments the factories are based in. Number 6: Product Manufacturing. As the developed world gets greedier and everyone else is catching up, more and more consumer products are being created to satisfy an ever-increasing need. This in turn creates a demand for product manufacturing.
